PR Assistant Jobs
A PR assistant will work with a senior PR manager to help generate a favorable brand image for the given company. He/she will be responsible for liaising with media people, stakeholders, vendors, etc. The PR assistant will also ensure timely responses to the queries of customers and proper coordination between various media and the company’s ad agency.
The PR assistant will assist in drafting and distributing communication materials like press releases, website content, newsletters, etc. A PR assistant will think up novel promotional events and marketing activities, and then go to work on realizing those plans. The PR assistant will also support internal staff and help the marketing team design innovative communications and marketing strategies.
A very good understanding of PR and other marketing tools is required for a PR assistant position. A candidate applying for the position of PR assistant should have a degree in public relations, mass communications, or marketing. Strong management skills and experience working in a PR firm are highly preferred. Finally, a candidate should be proficient in oral and written communication skills.
