Publicist Jobs
Publicists are hired to get press coverage for their clients. Their job is to get journalists to write about their client. Publicists understand the inner-workings of the media so they can recognize the stories that certain journalists want to write about. Publicists usually write press releases to create publicity about something which is actually not well-known. Publicists also cultivate relationships with journalists in order to place stories with them. Publicists work in the book publishing field or for a specific company or product. The publicist should always find ways to create waves about a particular service or product, which needs to be promoted. They also require ample communication skills and good writing technique. Publicists are paid very well, better than the other media professionals and hence are a lucrative position.
The job candidate should at least be a graduate in the field of media, advertising or PR. He should possess good communication and presentation skills.
