Tetra Tech is looking to add a Senior Proposal Coordinator to our River and Coastal Engineering marketing team out of our Seattle or Bellevue office. In this role, you’ll take the lead on preparing responses to complex, multi-million-dollar pursuits. Business areas include river and coastal engineering, restoration, inland navigation, and ports and harbors.
The Senior Proposal Coordinator must take a leadership role to guide pursuit teams through positioning and capture planning, proposal development, and interview stages. This is a dynamic position that requires strategic thinking, flexibility, planned and proactive approaches, and the ability to shift priorities frequently while maintaining attention to detail and achieving high quality standards. The Senior Proposal Coordinator must be able to prioritize, multi-task, function effectively under multiple deadlines and time constraints, schedule workload, and manage time efficiently.
Develop actionable strategies for specific client opportunities in advance of RFPs, including market research, opportunity tracking, and capture planning
Review complex RFP language and develop proposal outlines to ensure compliance
Work with technical staff to develop strategic messaging and weave it throughout the proposal narrative
Create and manage the proposal development schedule, and coordinate with technical and support staff to keep all tasks moving forward
Work with various staff members to collect, write, and strategically edit resumes, project descriptions, firm profiles, and other proposal content
Request, compile, and review information from teaming partners
Coordinate development of graphics and other items to support strategic messaging
Provide proposal layout, proofing, and quality control
Develop dynamic visual presentations for shortlist interviews, including team preparation and coaching
Complete proposal closeout process to capture newly created content and materials for future use
Other duties include working with project managers, marketing management, and office staff to support day-to-day marketing and business development efforts
Minimum of 5 years of A/E/C industry marketing experience, primarily focused on proposal development
Experience preparing complex proposals that win multi-million-dollar contracts (previous experience working with SF330 proposals is a plus)
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field desired
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with outstanding interpersonal skills
Superior organizational skills and obsessive attention to detail
Ability to shift priorities and delegate as needed to keep all tasks on schedule
Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Word, PowerPoint, Excel
Experience with Adobe InDesign desired, especially customizing and applying type, object, and table styles
