The Communications Leader provides strategic communications direction, planning and execution in support of the Commercial Excellence and Strategy (CE&S) organization at Honeywell Aerospace. This role is accountable for being the one point of contact to plan, develop and deploy global communications in support of this organization to help deliver results against business objectives. The position will also be responsible for helping support Aerospace-wide and Honeywell International communications campaigns as part of the Aerospace Executive Communications team. The position reports to the Director, Strategic Business Unit Communications.

Key Responsibilities:

40% - Develop content for executive messages and presentations, announcements, newsletter and intranet articles, videos, social collaboration and other channels. Plan and execute internal events, such as quarterly town halls.

30% - Partner with the Chief Commercial Officer and their leadership team to develop and deliver messaging around business vision and priorities. Counsel and advise on communications strategies, channels and tactics to ensure communications objectives are met. Support executive, organizational and change management communications to support priorities of the organization.

25% - Support awareness and drive engagement around CE&S priorities which impact disparate parts of the organization through communications, discovering opportunities for wider dissemination of key messages and initiatives led out of the CE&S organization.

5% - Conceive, develop and deploy communications campaigns in support of the Aerospace business as a member of the Executive Communications team.

YOU MUST HAVE

Bachelor’s Degree

Minimum 5 years’ of corporate communications experience

WE VALUE

Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communications, journalism or similar business discipline

Internal/employee communications experience in a large, complex and/or matrix organization strongly preferred.

Ability to present technical and often complex information in a clear and compelling manner.

Excellent writing and editorial skills as well as the ability to make convincing presentations to senior management.

Strong project management skills, ability to manage multiple programs/projects simultaneously and proven track record of results.

Ability to communicate using a variety of media and channels through an innovative mix of traditional and non-traditional communications to engage employees in company programs/initiatives.

Self-starter with ability to thrive in a matrix organizational structure where priorities can shift quickly.

Relationship building skills that enable the individual to influence thinking and outcomes through professional credibility.

Strength in working with colleagues across the company and developing relationships at the highest level of the organization.
