- Description The Global Communications team directs external communications efforts to ensure the company's messages are aligned and delivered in accordance with Prudential\u2019s goals and policies. To enhance our presence in the media using various strategies and channels, we are increasing our Public Relations staff. Reporting to the VP, Media Management, this role seeks a self-starter and team player with strong writing and communications skills to join Prudential\u2019s media engagement team to deepen our company\u2019s engagement with the journalism community around the world. In this capacity, you will: Partner across the organization to draw maximum external communications visibility for Prudential Engage journalists at across a variety of news outlets to place Prudential as a valuable news source and our executives as industry thought leaders Apply media insight to inform business decisions Anticipate story angles and content needs Anticipate news trends Establish and build on relationships with media targets, both traditional and non-traditional Inform audience and partnership development Direct earned media content creation and deployment Contribute to integrated campaigns that use paid, earned, owned and shared media to engage a diverse range of audiences, including consumers, institutions, intermediaries, business partners and Prudential employees\u00a0 Qualifications Bachelor\u2019s degree in any field of academic rigor and\u00a0advanced degree a plus.\u00a0 Minimum 4 years of professional experience, preferably a mix of journalism, corporate and agency backgrounds.\u00a0 Recent demonstrated results working with key consumer and financial journalists at top-tier media outlets. Ability to operate with both institutional and retail consumer media outlets.\u00a0 Proven ability to build a network of strong relationships with key influencers and secure high-profile, top-tier coverage Deep understanding of the evolving business model of the modern media industry, and the monetization of content Experienced in content and channel strategy across traditional, social and emerging platforms Prudential is a multinational financial services leader with operations in the United States, Asia, Europe, and Latin America.
