We are seeking a Social Media & Public Relations Specialist for our Sunnyvale, California office.
This role will lead the US Social Media and Public Relations for the Document Imaging division of Fujitsu.
Social Media: This role is responsible for corporate social and paid media channels including LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and blog sites, including overseeing daily sourcing, creation, and posting of content.Responsible for the corporate social media and public relations, you will be leading the objectives of the overall corporate marketing and communications team in creating awareness of our brand and our leadership, both from an executive and technological standpoint. You’ll be a brand advocate using both organic and paid social tools, along with your own creativity, to inform the world about who we are and why we matter.
We’re looking for someone with experience in technology. Someone who can look at a metrics report and adjust their assets to create greater results. Someone who can work with peers in the US and overseas to uncover stories to tell.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage corporate social media channels including LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Reddit and blog sites, including overseeing daily sourcing, creation, and posting of content
Create and manage paid social media advertisements and campaigns on leading platforms
Assist in planning and managing the publishing calendar, messaging, writing posts, sourcing or creating the visual images for these posts, all aligning to the overall product and marketing plan
Work with internal content sources, partners and sister company content to schedule posts and help them optimize content for social media
Work with cross-functional partners in product business units, HR and more to help enable their social programs while maintaining global quality standards and keeping everything on-message and schedules strategically aligned.
This role will serve as a representative executing multichannel public relations and social media activities, initiatives and campaigns. The Public Relations Manager develops and implements communications strategies and tactics, maintains a news drumbeat, while managing press and analyst relations.
You must possess the ability to work collaboratively with multiple teams within the company, and take initiative to turn plans into action quickly and effectively. Strong writing skills and media outreach skills are a must, as well as the ability to think creatively to develop pitches targeting business and trade press, and social media influencers and bloggers.
Collaborate with key stakeholders across the company to develop communications and supporting public relations strategies that penetrate across all integrated marketing channels, including but not limited to social media, industry and trade publications, press and customer events, trade shows, webinars, interviews, and corporate events
Build and drive PR programs for the company’s imaging and keyboard business, including products and solutions launches, vertical markets, alliances and channel to increase brand awareness that aligns with strategic business goals and objectives
Manage and maintain constant flow of news and press releases
Develop and execute on plans to positively promote solutions products and solutions among journalists, bloggers, industry analysts and influencers
Create media pitches that effectively communicate the company's messaging and positioning within the context of specific vertical markets and targeted industries
Win major editorial placements including news articles, features and product reviews
Foster positive relationships with journalists (business and trade) and industry bloggers that cover, or should cover Fujitsu Computer Products of America
Coordinate periodic briefings with key trade press and analysts
Coach company representatives and assist in the preparation of media interviews
Maintain public relations standards, policies and processes in alignment with corporate marketing and communications best practices
Develop metrics and reporting methods to measure and communicate the effectiveness and progress of PR initiatives','!*!
2 – 3 years’ experience in social media and communications, potentially from an integrated marketing, PR, advertising or digital team
Bachelor’s degree, internationally recognized equivalent, or equivalent work experience
Proficiency with social media management platforms like Sprinklr
Experience with metrics platforms such as Google Analytics and built-in metrics from social platforms
Superior writing skills, a flair for communicating effectively for social, and demonstrated ability to create engaging and provocative editorial content
Organized, self-managing, but able to work collaboratively with many different people every week
Able to deal with unpredictable situations, with exceptional-problem solving skills as well as, work within tight deadlines, adjust to changes in priorities, and balance short term needs with long term strategic initiatives
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present to groups of all sizes
Able to execute a project from start to finish independently if needed, and comfortable
Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator skills a big plus
