Virginia Oncology Associates, the largest group of medical professionals in Hampton Roads and Northeast North Carolina devoted exclusively to cancer care and blood disorders, has an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Services and Liaison Manager for our growing practice locations in Hampton Roads.

Position Summary

-Manages the planning, directing, and coordination of internal and external Virginia Oncology Associate marketing services.

-Ensures products and services are marketed in accordance with budgeted objectives to achieve maximum profitability.

-Assists executive leadership to develop marketing plans that meet changing market and industry conditions.

-Responsible for liaisons who build relationships with referring physicians to achieve practice growth goals.

Key Responsibilities

Manages the development and preparation of short-term and long-range marketing service plans based on practice goals and objectives, ensuring profit growth and expansion of products/services. Manages practice wide communications and public relations.

Oversees liaisons in working with operational leaders, physicians, practice management and staff. Work with liaisons to execute sales and marketing strategies. Ensure referral feedback/issues are addressed appropriately. Assesses and reviews actual performance levels of liaisons through regular sales performance reports.

Works with internal/external business partners to identify and manage the development of marketing tools to be utilized in all market segments.

In coordination with appropriate field staff, implements, develops and distributes product/service modifications and summary marketing reports.

Ensures utilization of CRM, market analysis, trends, and performance reporting to develop sales plans and track practice growth.

Ensures all marketing activities adhere to budgetary guidelines. Manages all aspects of corporate functions and conferences.

Monitors industry to develop contacts, cultivate market knowledge and identify trends for new products ideas. Develops and recommends expansion of products or services based on sound market and financial analysis.

Formulates and implements advertising and public relations campaigns in support of field marketing activities.

Manages the preparation and media placement of advertisements, brochures, booklets, press releases, and direct mail pieces.

Adjusts marketing strategies and plans to meet changing market and competitive conditions.

Manages and develops patient, physician and staff facing communications and materials.

Maintains active website development and social media platforms. Assists with legislative relations.

Participates in health fairs, community events, runs/walks, conferences and other outreach programs in coordination with practice sponsorship to support the community at large.

Supports practice growth efforts through practice visits, sales calls, tumor boards, community events, trade-shows and cross-business collaboration.

Other duties may be assigned as needed to meet practice goals.

Job Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Business Administration, or related degree required.

Minimum seven (7) years experience in marketing/advertising required.

Experience with development and management of a large-scale budget.

Prior marketing/sales experience in a Healthcare setting preferred.

Supervisory experience preferred.

Specialized Knowledge/Skills

Graphic design background (Canva), preferred.

Working knowledge of Salesforce CRM, preferred.

SAP Business Object experience preferred.
