POSITION SUMMARY:
The Senior Marketing Coordinator is responsible for providing social media and digital marketing consulting and training to both Financial Representatives (FRs) and Guardian Agencies. The social media consulting may be delivered 1:1 or in larger settings and may be delivered live or virtually.
The Senior Marketing Coordinator also plays a critical role in developing the communication and training curriculum and materials that support social media success at Guardian. This includes participating in the creation, maintenance and communication of thoughtful social media training resources (print, digital, automated email journeys, presentation, and other). These resources target Guardian FRs and agencies to help them build their brand, drive prospecting, and create better customer experiences.
This Social Media role is an excellent opportunity to join a growing and dynamic marketing team that develops and executes distribution marketing initiatives within Guardian’s individual markets business (Life and Disability Insurance and Wealth Management). The Senior Marketing Coordinator reports to the Director of Social Media within Individual Markets Marketing. 
 
POSITION RESPONSIBILTIES:
Become a resident expert on all social media business channels and best practices for financial advisors including, but not limited to: LinkedIn, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Facebook business pages, Twitter, Instagram and others
Provide both web-based and face-to-face social media training
Communicate social media sales concepts to FRs to drive activity
Develop and maintain social media training materials and other resources as needed
Handle the day-to-day operations of Proofpoint and Grapevine6 including the on-boarding and/or off-boarding of FRs as well as monthly reporting for both platforms
Provide monthly and ad-hoc reporting on all social media programs and platforms for internal stakeholders and senior leadership
Oversee the Social Media Team email campaigns for Social Selling Best Practices, Grapevine6, and LinkedIn/LinkedIn Sales Navigator as well as helping to create new email campaigns within Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
Supporting Guardian’s Social Media Team’s shared inbox and support calls
CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS:
Competencies:
Deep understanding of LinkedIn, Facebook business pages, and Twitter as all other social networks with potential business application
A social media native
Understanding of FINRA and SEC social media rules and regulations for both social media and marketing in general
General understanding of social media best and digital marketing practices to drive sales results
Understanding of content sharing best practices
Ability to convey social selling concepts to sales professionals
Strong presentation skills with both small and large audiences
Ability to interface and influence key stakeholders across all levels of the organization
Strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects independently, meet deadlines and adapt to changing priorities and timelines
Understanding of the Financial Services industry and in particular, the General Agency model is a plus
Familiar with additional social networking platforms like Instagram, Snapchat, Pinterest
Willingness and ability to learn about new emerging social networks
Knowledge/Skills: 
Minimum 2-5 years digital marketing and/or industry related experience (financial services, life insurance, and wealth management experience a plus)
Strong Social, Digital and Web technology experience
Proofpoint SocialPatrol experience is a plus but not required
Grapevine6, Camtasia experience is a plus but not required
Superior Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
Exceptional critical thinking and analytic skills with ability to understand and diagnose a problem, and implement a solution rapidly
Strong sense of urgency and follow-up
Strong organizational skills and ability to keep self and others on task
Sense of humor
Maintain professional internal and external relationships that meet company core values
Proactively establish and maintain effective working team relationships with all support departments
Full understanding of standard marketing communication processes: writing, design, legal review, print, web etc. with ability to provide concrete editorial and design direction and interpret legal comments
Ability to travel up to 25%
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications or related field
