The Division of Extended Campus is seeking a Director of Marketing and Enrollment Services. This is a full-time (1.0
), 12-month, fixed term professional faculty position. Reappointment is at the discretion of the Executive Director.
The director of Marketing and Enrollment Services provides leadership and administrative management to the Marketing and Enrollment Services (
) unit within the Division of Extended Campus. The division is a fast-growing, entrepreneurial organization with a commitment to providing access to Oregon State University's (
) programs of excellence that administers Oregon State Ecampus (online degrees), Open Oregon State (online resources), the Ecampus Research Unit (conducts original research), Summer Session (summer and intersession classes at
Office of Global Initiatives (
GO - study abroad) and Professional and Continuing Education (noncredit courses). This position serves on a leadership team with other Extended Campus directors and reports directly to the executive director of Market Development and the Student Experience in the Division of Extended Campus.

director leads the division marketing and communications strategy and enrollment services efforts in alignment with this mission.
unit provides all marketing and communications for Oregon State's online degrees (Ecampus) and Professional and Continuing Education (
) as well as marketing strategy and support for other units within Extended Campus. The director leads a large in-house team, which includes marketing managers, writers, a videographer, graphic designer, web and interactive staff and an enrollment services team overseeing inquiry management. In collaboration with three assistant directors, they develop, implement and evaluate short- and long-term goals related to marketing and enrollment services for Extended Campus programs and units.
The director is also responsible for overseeing the marketing budget and tracking its return on investment through pre-established key performance indicators and analytics. They also work with the
media buyer of record, a digital marketing partner and other vendors to target and serve key audiences whose needs will be met through Ecampus and other Extended Campus programs. The director is charged with branding Oregon State Ecampus as a national leader in online education. Assuring brand quality and aligning with the university's brand strategy are imperative.
This position maintains a close working relationship with University Relations and Marketing (
), college marketing leads,
News and Research Communications,
Productions and the Office of Admissions to assure compliance with university policy and goals for marketing and enrollment.
Minimum Qualifications (Staff) / Guidelines (Faculty):
Typically requires Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Journalism or related field. 3 years' experience as professional journalist or managing communications and marketing functions.
Bachelor's degree in communications, business administration, marketing or a related field.
Demonstrated excellence in written , oral and interpersonal communication skills, especially in communicating persuasively and clearly with other professional colleagues.
Demonstrated experience building relationships and collaborating with key stakeholders.
Minimum of five years of professional experience leading marketing and communications for an organization or business, including demonstrated experience in marketing strategy, budgeting, allocating media/marketing mix and branding.
Demonstrated experience successfully participating in, building and leading effective and diverse work teams, which includes providing equitable direct leadership and supervision.
Experience with digital marketing and understanding of web development and interactive tools to support marketing efforts.
Demonstrated experience with data-informed decision-making and with establishing/reporting/evaluating metrics.
Experience developing a marketing budget.

Additional Salary Information:
