The Proposal Database Management (PDM) Directors primary responsibility is to drive the growth of Aetnas commercial business through strategic partnership with product and program owners as well as sales and account teams. They are the leader of the team responsible for anticipating proposal content needs based on their knowledge of the business, and managing the timely creation and maintenance of the content. The successful candidate has the ability to be strategic, creative, and highly accountable while managing multiple projects and changing priorities.
We are seeking candidates with proven experience in marketing, communications, proposal writing and management of people and resources. The position requires an individual who can communicate effectively with all audiences, represent the content needs of the proposal teams with business partners and subject matter experts, and build and maintain strong relationships throughout the company. A key part of this individuals work will be participation on product and program roll-out teams as well as strong connections to marketing and brand to ensure proposal content is aligned and ready in time for the selling season. In addition, this individual will work closely with our proposal database vendor to ensure optimal use of the tool.
* 8 years of Management experience, ability to manage individual contributors in a metric / deadline driven environment.
* Previous Proposal Support Management experience
* Several years of managed health care or insurance industry experience.
* The highest level of proficiency in writing and editing skills
* Ability to drive a positive, creative and innovative culture
* Excellent relationship building skills , extremely effective working in and building a team environment
The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.
