The Marketing Assistant for communications and technology supports the Marketing & Communications Content Manager in technology, communications, and content programs and initiatives for an international law firm with roughly 2000 attorneys in more than 38 locations in the U.S., Latin America, Europe, The Middle East, and Asia. This position may be located in either the NY or NJ office.

Duties & Responsibilities

Web Content: Manage website content changes, e.g., practice and location descriptions, biographies, adding images, videos and other items to the website, building pages on the website, posting media coverage and press releases as needed

Update content in RFP/Proposal software as requested by practice and regional managers

Publish new blog posts for existing firm blogs

Format firm

Alerts, Advisories,



in compliance with firm style under the guidance of manager

Compile monthly website analytics, monthly and/or quarterly blog analytics, alerts analytics, and handle other analytics requests as needed

Vet content for potential business issues

Assist with overall content development

Assist with posting to firm social media platforms

Assist with other projects, upon request

Skills & Competencies

We are looking for a tech-Savvy problem solver who will have the ability to lean new programs or systems with ease

Attention to detail and ability to multi task and meet deadlines

Spreadsheet and data oriented

Ability to generate quality work product in a fast-paced environment

Excellent writing skills, oral communication, organizational skills and interpersonal skills

Project management experience is a plus

Ability to learn quickly is essential

Must be a self-starter, diligent and able to work as part of a team

Ability to work well under pressure

Qualifications & Prior Experience

Bachelor’s degree required.

Candidate will have a minimum of 0-2 years’ relevant experience in a marketing/communications role at a professional services firm or within a regulated industry

Proficient in Google Analytics

Knowledge of or willingness to learn HTML preferred

Familiarity with email marketing software, website and blog platforms (Concep, Sitecore, Wordpress) preferred

Familiarity with AP style and experience with Meta tagging and SEO a plus

Proficiency using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) and ability to learn new programs
