Job Summary Graduation from an accredited school of nursing; associates or diploma required. Bachelor's degree preferred. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing; associates or diploma required. Bachelor's degree preferred. Experience dealing with the public in a patient care setting preferred. Previous experience as an RN or LPN in acute care preferred. Previous management or leadership experience preferred. Current applicable state registered nurse license; Basic Life Support required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification as required by unit specific accountabilities. Current applicable state registered nurse license; CPR certification. ACLS certification as required by unit specific accountabilities. Cat. I \u2013Exposure to blood\/body fluids\/tissues. Works inside; may be rotated to different shifts. May be shifted between nursing units and \/ or campus locations; may be called to respond during emergencies\/disaster situations Walking and standing the majority of the day; able to lift or move 50 pounds; near visual and hearing acuity (assistive devices may be appropriate); motor coordination and manual dexterity As required in the MSDS Safety Manual. A summary of the specific skills, knowledge and behaviors of this position are: The lead registered nurse provides daily direction of work assignments for all associates working in the care area of which the Lead RN is assigned. The Lead RN will ensure quality and safe resident care for the care area for which he\/she is assigned in accordance with federal, state and local law.
