About Corporate Communications\u00a0 We work closely with company leaders to keep our customers informed about everything from ways they can be more energy efficient and save on their bill, to day-to-day changes in service. We use many traditional vehicles, such as TV, Radio and Newspapers, and increasingly we are using digital platforms, such as web and social, to provide timely and useful information about our programs and services. Our digital team works traditional hours, but is designed to scale up to 24\/7 to manage real-time communications during storms and emergencies Position Overview: The Digital Communications Specialist plays a key role developing, designing and publishing content across all of the company\u2019s owned web and social media properties. S\/he will also support the redesign of external and internal web properties and in so doing will play a consequential role in ensuring that SCE continues to communicate with its customers and employees in a way that is constantly pushing for innovation while striving for simplicity. Typical responsibilities include: Create, publish, manage and moderate content across SCE\u2019s award-winning social media channels (including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and multiple Twitter accounts). Work collaboratively on a social media publishing platform (like Sprout Social). Must have sound judgment and demonstrated success communicating direct-to-customer(s). Must have demonstrated understanding of the nuance of speaking in \u201cbrand voice.\u201d Ability to \u201clisten\u201d to social conversation(s) about SCE across multiple platforms\/channels, and to serve as a \u201cfirst responder\u201d for Corporate Communications (in terms of identifying trends and\/or conversations around a topic that may have the potential to become a more significant issue). Experience conducting typical responsibilities of a web producer; as an editor for web content, including written and various multimedia content, managing and producing online content, using a content management system and other web development tools. Familiarity with SharePoint lists, libraries, pages, publishing, web parts, importing, exporting, and navigation. Ability to develop and use tools and resources to monitor social media analytics and website usage, and to identify trends that lead to insights that lead to a better customer experience. Ability to work under tight deadlines, and flexibility to adjust and adapt to constantly changing conditions. Will be expected to create and maintain a safety-conscious work environment. Must demonstrate effective decision-making, results delivery, team participation and the ability to stay current with relevant technology and innovation. Demonstrating strong ethics, interpersonal skills, communication and the ability to effectively manage stress and engage in continuous learning. As needed, may be called upon during non-traditional hours \u2013 evenings and weekends and even overnight.\u00a0 Qualifications Minimum: Two years of experience creating, writing and editing content-and managing conversations- on various social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.) A Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Communications, Journalism or related field. Desired: Experience working in a news or deadline-oriented environment Three to five years of experience as a social community manager \u2013 creating content and managing conversations \u2013 for a corporate social media account Comments: Candidates for this position must be legally authorized to work directly as employees for any employer in the United States without visa sponsorship.
