The Promotion Coordinator develops and implements effective promotions and special projects. This position coordinates daily scheduling and filling of the on-air log; covers network promos and provides updated weekly inventory promos to Master Control. In addition, the Promotion Coordinator:
Assists with planning, staffing, coordination and execution of local events from concept through to completion.
Creates video and power point recaps for CBS46 event sponsorships.
Coordinates speaker requests for on air personalities and arranges appearances
Sets up interviews with radio, magazines, and newspapers for feature stories on newscasters, or to interview anchors/reporter.
Local candidates will be given preferential consideration. Requires completion of a video screen.

30% Coordinates logs and manages on-air inventory.
30% Facilitates public relations, community affairs and live events.
30% Assists with C0-0P coordination, talent appearances, and other promotions.
10% Performs related marketing, and programming duties.
III. Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements | All must be met to be considered.
Education : Completion of high school or equivalent. College degree in communications, broadcasting or marketing is preferred.
Experience : 2 years television and or marketing experience in news or entertainment media formats. Production experience is a plus.
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
Computer proficiency including experience with Excel and PowerPoint.
