The Education and Technology Resource Specialist is responsible for activities related to the production of Instructional materials for the success of teaching and learning for all UAMS colleges and the Graduate School and OED Programs.

* Assist faculty and eLearning team in development of educational materials including graphics, audio, and video, course templates, and step-by-step instructional aids.

* Manage departmental website and web pages.

* Assist in design and production of promotional and training materials (such as flyers, posters, newsletters, graphics for digital billboards, and audio/video).

* Assist faculty and eLearning team in delivery of educational materials using Blackboard learning management system and web-based tools such as Collaborate Ultra or Skype.

* May perform other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications:

* Bachelors Degree in Communications, Computer Science, Graphic Arts, Educational Technology, or related field plus two (2) years of experience in audio/video/graphics design or development

* Advanced knowledge and proficiency using a variety of instructional and graphics software (Blackboard, MS Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat (Captivate, Illustrator, Fireworks, Photoshop, and Acrobat), Articulate Storyline, and SoftChalk)

* Strong writing, editing, proofreading skills, and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:

* Developing educational materials in an academic health center or educational setting

* Website administration experience

* Experience using Blackboard learning management system or equivalent learning management system

* Graphic design experience

* Technical writing and editing


* Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work in a team environment in a collegial and accountable manner

* Ability to plan, manage multiple complex projects and meet deadlines

* Ability to quickly learn new software tools

* Ability to maintain files and quickly retrieve files including multiple version of products

* Maintain confidentiality of materials

* Ability to develop graphical animations from storyboard or verbal directions
