Paid Media Specialist – Global Coordination, WW Performance Marketing
IBM is seeking a data-driven individual with a hunger for innovation to join our IBM Watson & Cloud digital team as a Paid Media Specialist. In your role, you will serve as a paid media SME, providing leadership and strategic guidance. You will work closely with other paid media experts as well as business segment leaders to drive business results and you will guide our agency execution partner as they manage, optimize, and provide analysis of our paid media campaigns. This role will also serve as the focal point of communication between the Worldwide (WW) media team and marketers across the globe.
Develop effective paid media strategies in collaboration with the WW and local marketing teams and our agency partner to drive business results
Manage agency partners for daily execution and optimization of paid media campaigns, including but not limited to bid management, budget allocation, performance monitoring, keyword expansion, ad copy development and testing, etc.
Create standardized KPIs/metrics to measure performance at various stages of the buyer journey
Develop creative strategies to further enhance conversion and drive revenue on new and mature paid media campaigns
Conduct measurable A/B tests on ad copy/landing pages with the goal of increasing conversion
Maintain relationships with media vendors to test new-to-market offerings – customized by region.
Manage campaign financials including allocation of media budgets and agency retainers
Coordinate with local market counterparts to review WW and local media plans/performance to ensure synergy and mutual learning
Maintain community to keep local markets informed of plans, changes, best practices, POVs, etc.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
3-5 years of experience in paid media with a demonstrable record of increasing ad spend efficiency, click through conversions, and ROI metrics. Experience in demand generation, B2B, and the tech space (specifically Cloud) all a plus but not required.
Experience in working with teams across multiple countries.
Experience buying, managing, and optimizing paid media campaigns (in-platform experience preferable)
Advanced analytical skills and attention to detail
Experience working collaboratively with marketing colleagues and business leaders at all levels
Ability to clearly communicate technical information to non-technical audience
Expert skills in Excel
Preferred Tech and Prof Experience
Intermediate working knowledge in digital marketing tactics like display, remarketing, paid social, native ads, and video
Solution-focused and takes initiative to work effectively and efficiently within established guidelines
Proven ability to work independently, collaboratively within a team environment and with colleagues spread across multiple geos
