Although our spring internship program will be completely remote (students can apply from anywhere), please be aware that this intern will report into an east coast based manager and therefore should expect to work on eastern standard time.
The convergent digital team is the team responsible for creating content to promote HGTV and discovery shows and talent. We work to support shows with articles and galleries on HGTV.com as well as across social platforms with clips from the show and original content. We work with many other departments including the HGTV linear production, marketing, talent management and editorial departments. We are the team that makes sure fans of HGTV know about all our new priority shows and talent on the internet and social media.
The convergence editorial intern will create content for HGTV.com, which has an average audience of 9.9 million users a month. The intern will work with the convergence editorial director to determine content that needs to be created to support priority shows and talent. During the course of the internship, the intern will watch shows and pitch and write articles and galleries and may have the opportunity to interview talent.
