Sales Communications Manager is responsible for managing a complex but critical

communications work stream: communications with the largest sales force at Cox

Automotive. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker who can partner with the

business and functional teams to produce compelling content to engage and

educate employees. This role will focus on helping employees (“team members”) understand

the company strategy and link their work to the company goals and operating

plans, as well as help team members be strong revenue contributors. This

self-motivated professional with relevant communications experience will assist

with dealership-facing sales personnel communication activities. The Sales

Communications Manager will report directly to the Sr. Manager of Communications,

Retail Sales, and work with the entire Dealer Sales team to serve as a liaison

between the field and the corporate. The ideal candidate will be a strategic

communicator, perform best in a team environment, possess solid writing skills

and content management experience — and have a desire to innovate and execute in

the internal communications space.

Responsibilities:Lead across

internal communications peers and corporate partners to ensure

communications strategies are executed.Conduct external

research and implement best practices to drive continuous improvement of

company-wide employee communication programs, processes and channels.Through

consultation and collaboration, own day-to-day and strategic relationships

with senior leaders in the dealership-facing sales organization (Dealer

Field Sales).Coordinate weekly newsletter

communications, ad hoc e-mail messages and communication plans by working

across multiple departments.Establish and

manage ongoing measurement and reporting processes to ensure employee

communications is delivering greater overall value (ROI) for the

organization. Obtain knowledge of all products, services and

accounts; proactively work with internal partners to determine what’s

relevant to the sales department. Prepare confidential and sensitive information for use

by Management, such as organizational announcements and executive messages.

Write in a variety of styles and formats (e.g., ghost

writing intranet articles and blog posts on behalf of leadership, e-newsletters,

PowerPoint presentations) ensuring communications are tailored to the

audience, concise but with the right amount of detail, tailored to the

author and channel.Work independently and within a team on special

nonrecurring and ongoing projects. Serve as the project coordinator for

special projects at the request of the Sr. Manager of Communications,

Media Sales.Communicate consistently, effectively and within a timely

manner with Management regarding the general state of business.Establish, manage and ensure usage of company-approved

employee communications templates, policies, procedures and guides.

Degree in journalism, public relations, communications or related field – or

equivalent combination of education and experience.5 years’

experience in corporate or employee communication, journalism/media,

technology or communications industries required (automotive experience a

plus)Prior management

of employee communication programs, processes, and channels (intranet,

print publications, webcast, video, etc.) Exceptional

written and verbal communication skills that can effectively engage

employees and help them understand and foster the organization’s mission,

vision, values, culture, goals and strategies Ability to

multi-task and keep numerous projects on track and on budgetStrong

project management and problem-solving skills Strong knowledge

and experience with Microsoft Office including Outlook, PowerPoint and

Excel is required Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills; detail-orientedHigh level of communication skills with experience in

interacting with all levels of Management and employeesAbility to prioritize work independentlyProfessional appearance and communication etiquette

are essential Prior experience serving as a mentor or guide for a

team required; prior people management experience a plus
