Job Summary:

House of Blues Venues provide several genres of live music, from Rock, Hip Hop, Country, Rock en Español, Blues, Jazz, Reggae and Pop. House of Blues venues are also known for their southern-style cuisine, juke-joint inspired atmosphere and the World Famous Gospel Brunch.
The Role:
Assists venue/brand Marketing and Promotions Manager in directing and coordinating activities relating to Marketing, Promotions and Public Relations for House of Blues. As a member of the Marketing team, your role is to coordinate all Marketing efforts for venue business units including House of Blues Restaurant & Bar, House of Blues World Famous Gospel Brunch, Foundation Room at House of Blues, Special Events and Retail.
Assist the Marketing Manager with development, implementation and/or execution of strategic venue marketing plans and promotional projects
Assist with the creation, development and maintenance of venue marketing materials
Create and publish venue email communications including bimonthly newsletters and Foundation Room member email correspondence
Maintain venue website
Help plan, develop and implement PR strategies to promote venue initiatives and events including, but not limited to, identifying market influencers, pitching stories and identifying/posting to free listing sites
Utilize social marketing platforms including, but not limited to, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Snapchat to support venue initiatives
Responsible for upkeep of in-venue promotional materials including internal/external posters and digital boards
Compile post event analysis and create event recaps
Support guest relations efforts via online review monitoring and response
Foster community relations and partnerships through involvement in community initiatives
Working in conjunction with venue brand ambassador, identify opportunities and coordinate promotional and street team activities at venue, off-site and online
Complete other duties as assigned
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations or related degree
1-2 years marketing experience
Detail-oriented and able to coordinate multiple work streams under deadline pressure
Ability to take initiative, problem solve and perform research
General knowledge of music, sports, theater, and family events
Knowledge of restaurant, nightlife or retail marketing
General knowledge of concert promotion and live event business
Tolerance of all cultures, music and art forms
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing
Knowledge of the principles of target marketing
Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, particularly MS Excel and PowerPoint
Graphic design knowledge a plus
Physical Demands/Working Environment:
Work environment is fast-paced
Position requires extended periods of prolonged standing, bending, stooping, telephonic communications, and reaching
Must be able to lift or move up to 25 lbs. using proper lifting techniques
