Job DescriptionAmazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an experienced Event Programs Manager to build, plan, and execute Americas events to further the adoption and usage of the AWS cloud computing platform. This is a great opportunity to play a key role in AWS, a subsidiary of Amazon.com and a global leader in Cloud Computing. In this role you will have the unique opportunity to build, plan, and deliver a wide-variety of events throughout the Americas. You will work closely with the field marketing team, global programs team, and will manage the planning and logistical execution of live and virtual events (production, staging, registration, etc.) in partnership with our agencies of record. Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the global field marketing managers on the overall event development
Partner with product and solutions marketing on the content strategy alignment
Align the marketing communications strategy to the overall event strategy
Coordinate demand generation with the Demand Generation Manager on the Events team
Build marketing enablement materials in partnership with creative services when necessary
Build a standardized and repeatable event \u201cin a box\u201d for field marketing execution for specific roadshows
Manage the operational components required in the event planning cycle
Manage and execute the event and share best practices globally
Evaluate, measure, and report on strategic effectiveness of the overall event
Manage and monitor budget with agencies and payments as needed with Finance
Develop and analyze event series performance metrics to drive future marketing decisions and optimize recruitment and engagement strategy
Post events to WW Marketing calendar and leverage the various communication channels to drive awareness/recruitment.
Adhere to consistency of AWS branding
You will utilize deep event marketing and communications expertise, exceptional project management, and collaboration skills to manage the event planning and ensure all global stakeholders are working together to deliver a customer-focused, high-quality event. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of event marketing and communications, proven success in planning and executing global technology events, solid project management skills, and strong attention to detail. Basic Qualifications

5-7 years of relevant experience in event marketing, specifically to technology customers, and prospects
Bachelor\u2019s degree in business, marketing, communications, or relevant field of study
Experience working with field marketing and sales teams in the planning and execution of live and virtual events
Experience leading and successfully delivering events with innovation and accountability
Deep understanding and involvement in integrated campaigns around event series using social media, virtual events, digital marketing tactics
Demonstrated success in event management, program management, and project management
Operational expertise with back-end processes and budget management
Marketing experience in a B2B, high-tech company/product/service strongly preferred
Familiarity with the technology sales cycle and how to employ marketing communication strategies to nurture leads, drive adoption, and accelerate growth
Proficiency managing and working with agencies

Preferred Qualifications

A career path that demonstrates increasing levels of responsibility and proven success delivering measurable marketing results
Ability to manage time and juggle multiple priorities to execute high-quality deliverables
Skilled negotiator with proven experience finding creative ways to do more with less and a track record of staying on budget
Experience managing sponsorship programs is a plus
Experience working in a fast-paced and highly cross-functional, global organization
Experience using email platforms such as Marketo, Adobe CQ, and Salesforce
Solid attention to detail, customer-service orientation, and creativity in problem-solving
A willingness and ability to travel, sometimes extensively, during certain parts of the year
Works independently and autonomously, but also a team player
Superior oral and written communication skills with meticulous attention to detail and regard for delivering the best customer experience possible
