Senior Manager, Marketplace Leader - Corporate Citizenship (Purpose Office)

Work you'll do
Deloitte's Purpose Office is seeking a Corporate Citizenship leader to lead both New York and New Jersey markets. Corporate Citizenship is a function within our Purpose Office and a key part of our global commitment to corporate responsibility. A successful candidate will leverage their knowledge of corporate citizenship to drive social impact in our communities while building client connections, talent engagement and brand to position the firm as a market leader in both New York and New Jersey.
Duties and Responsibilities
Set annual local corporate citizenship vision and strategy, goals and metrics to activate the Purpose strategy through social impact investments and engagement of Deloitte's people in the community for the New York and New Jersey markets
Serve as trusted and strategic advisor to New York and New Jersey office Managing Partners and to business leaders based in those markets
Optimize investments to have the greatest impact while juggling different points of view from firm leaders
Represent Deloitte in the community, in the civic arena, in business and at events
Proactively build market eminence, brand and positioning for the firm and leadership around strategically aligned social impact issues
Deep understanding of the social issues in New York City and Northern, NJ (Morristown)
Nurture and build strong relationships with local nonprofits and their leaders, civic leaders and other stakeholders in the community
Identify opportunities for Deloitte leaders to join strategic nonprofit boards
Cultivate networks, build broad buy-in, and integrate diverse stakeholder viewpoints to advance market engagement
Use knowledge of firm business objectives and social impact alignment to target priorities and opportunity gaps and use personal knowledge to inform national strategic choices and investments
Source and evaluate strategic pro bono projects to determine best use of resources
Oversee Volunteer Councils and other national and local volunteer engagement programs
Align strategy and evaluate programs using qualitative/quantitative data
Develop and oversee performance and citizenship staff
Manage Managing Partner and Citizenship budgets to drive social impact
Position Deloitte externally as an advocate, expert, and leader in the market
Cultivate and manage local nonprofit portfolio and relationships to drive collaboration, alignment, and mutual firm / community benefit
Source and facilitate distribution of key communications that amplify strategy, story, and brand
Comfortable working with multiple stakeholders across a complex organization
Ensure strong integration with Talent, Marketing, Public Relations functions and the broader national Citizenship team

Corporate Citizenship/Corporate Social Responsibility experience and leadership (e.g. experience in the social sector in NY/NJ, advantageous to have existing network in the nonprofit and civic space
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or other related field is required and a minimum of 10 years of experience; or 22 years of experience without a degree
Subject matter expert with knowledge and influence around social issues
Possess strong business acumen in order to serve as strategic advisor to business leaders and stakeholders
Build and leverage high level teams/networks
Proactively drive strategic solutions and create opportunities for deeper connections and impact
Possess and demonstrate executive presence
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong budget management skills
Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
Primarily virtual; Ability to travel 0-25% on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
Possess strong creativity and thinking outside of norms while navigating risk

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $104,575 - $214,740.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
