Why You Matter
We’re looking for a Social Media & Content Production Intern to join our growing marketing team. You’ll be among some of the most talented and passionate people in the industry and will gain first-hand experience writing, editing, and crafting Carbon Black’s voice in the cybersecurity market. With this internship, you’ll gain valuable experience and play a critical role in our company’s success.
What You’ll Do
Work closely with key players from the corporate communications, public relations, and social media team on high-profile (and highly visible) content projects.
Leverage your experience with social media platforms to craft, edit, and publish content on our social media channels and blogs
Participate in weekly meetings to get hands on experience with executives and C-level players within Carbon Black
Put your passion for good writing and attention to detail to good use with content production and editing
Research daily news trends and identify opportunities for media pitches and website content
Deliver updates on social media metrics, trends, and conversations in the market
What You’ll Bring
Working toward a degree in Communications, English Literature, Public Relations, Marketing, or Business
Proficiency with WordPress, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube & the Microsoft Office Suite required. (Video and audio content production experience is a plus)
Strong attention to detail, mastery of time management, and solid decision-making skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
A good sense of news judgement with a passion for reading the news
Goal-oriented, high-energy professional with a good sense of humor
Comfort and ease working autonomously and among a growing team
An interest in technology and cybersecurity is a plus
This is a part time internship opportunity. Interested candidates should be currently enrolled in a 4-year institution and available to work 15 - 20 hours/week during the spring semester.
