Rockwell Collins is seeking a Technical Project Manager with project engineering experience to join the Commercial Systems Safety Engineering Programs and Process team. If you are interested in a dynamic environment for personal and professional growth, we invite you to explore this opportunity.
Collaborate with stakeholders for assigned programs, including internal and external customers, RMS technical leads, and subject matter experts to define objectives, value added, identify risks and dependencies.
Support RMS backlog grooming and prioritization, and schedule forecasting. Capture objectives for assigned program/product and associated deadlines.
Point of contact for program office and customer on assigned programs or products. Builds strong relationship with internal and external customer to ensure RMS alignment with program/product schedule and scope as well as ensuring a common understanding of program/product interdependencies with RMS.
Manage risks and dependencies, track status, identify issues and regularly report to RMS and program management.
Facilitate progress by working with RMS teams to identify and avoid or remove impediments.
Coordinate RMS tasks among the applicable teams.
Fulfill project manager role on assigned program/product, including Cost Account Management (CAM) responsibilities and status reporting up to L3 level.
Understand and communicate business context of assigned program/product to RMS team.
Lead EER or bid for assigned program or product when proposal involves multiple RMS teams.
Safety engineering TPM will be expected to be competent in the system safety assessment process, as well as related avionics development processes, including Rockwell Collins Technically Consistent Process (TCP), ARP4754, DO-178, and DO-254.
Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) discipline.
Effective oral/written communication skills.
Effective interpersonal and team skills.
Knowledge on how to coordinate several projects and complex engineering activities while balancing priorities and schedules.
Working knowledge of aircraft or electronic systems.
Engaging in effective time management, working with a great deal of independence.
Working knowledge of Rockwell Collins project management practices and tools.
Experience in SAFe or agile development.
