Job DescriptionAmazon Web Services (AWS), a subsidiary of Amazon.com in Ballston, is seeking a talented, self-directed marketing professional to drive global awareness and marketing of AWS\u2019s cloud computing solutions as we expand into new countries. The ideal candidate must be able to work at the strategic level (helping to generate and deliver bold and innovative ideas for growth) and at the tactical level (managing programs and campaigns). The ideal candidate must also have proven analytical skills and experience building community, engaging with government leaders and driving awareness programs. We are looking passion for technology, an entrepreneurial spirit, and a successful track record in technology product, field or solution marketing and a background in topics related to building diverse communities in the technology field. Must be able to generate and present best-in-class marketing content and collateral, create targeted messaging/marketing campaigns and building communities. You must also have a demonstrated track record in leading people and managing successful teams. Roles & Responsibilities:
Collaborate on the development and assist in delivery of effective marketing plans to drive awareness, adoption, and usage of the AWS platform in new geographies.
Develop core marketing assets and content, with a heavy focus on the value proposition and use cases.
Track key metrics and KPIs and insuring all established goals, objectives and deliverables are met.
Collaborate, as needed, with various AWS teams, sales/business development, PR, evangelists, leaders and other marketing managers to ensure the AWS message is reaching our audience via events, seminars, webinars and other thought leadership activities.
Travel as necessary to execute marketing initiatives.
7 years of relevant work experience in marketing, marketing communications and/or international development
A Bachelor degree in marketing, business, technology, or relevant field of study
Experience to develop effective marketing assets (product videos, web content)
Proven track record in crafting compelling positioning and marketing content
Demonstrated ability to create innovative and targeted marketing programs that generate results
Accomplished range of skills from high level strategic thinking to creative and detailed execution
Proven success in managing complex and multi-faceted marketing programs with the ability to drive projects through completion
The demonstrated ability to work independently and autonomously
Superior oral and written communication skills
A career path that demonstrates increasing levels of responsibility and a knack for driving and/or being associated with benchmark industry products/services
