The Deloitte Consulting Marketing and Communications Team is looking for an integrated external comms/marketing specialist to execute integrated external communications activities in support of its executive positioning program. In this role, you will help the consulting executive team and other business leaders continue to build their brands in the marketplace and share their perspectives on the issues shaping the market and impacting our clients. The ideal candidate must be able to effectively and simultaneously serve as a trusted communications advisor for senior leadership, a public relations and social media strategist, and a collaborator/team player with other firm communications professionals, external agencies and partners.

This integrated comms professional will work closely with multiple teams - Talent, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Alliances, business and account teams as well as other marketers and internal communications team members - to position the executives and leaders aligned to their specific platforms and business objectives. This position reports to the Executive External Comms program lead.

The successful candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, navigate a complex matrix of teams and stakeholders, and be an efficient and effective problem solver. In addition, the candidate has an operational mindset and can work at both a strategic and tactical level, build key relationships with multiple teams, influence executive leadership and have the ability to produce high-level communications across the board.

Deloitte's Consulting Marketing team provides value to the U.S. Firms by differentiating the Deloitte brand, driving Deloitte's business priorities forward, innovating new marketing solutions, and delivering distinct client experiences. We develop cutting-edge marketing plans, creative assets, and unique experiences that engage our clients; deliver on the strategy of our businesses in the marketplace; and capture the hearts, minds, and loyalty of our clients.

What you'll do:

In collaboration with the Executive External Comms Program Lead, drive external eminence and overall media coverage for senior executive leaders. Advance Deloitte Consulting's brand by positioning senior leadership as specialists on key business issues through top-tier media pitching, paid campaigns and social media efforts, event and speaking opportunities, and thought leadership development.

Write clearly in different formats and styles, copyedit and develop a variety of different types of content, including but not limited to social media activities, external communications campaigns or byline articles.

Use data and insights to show the value of boosting brand equity through content sharing, earned media placements, sponsorships, amplification of key marketing campaigns and speaking opportunities.

Strategize around content that supports overarching business priorities and implement strategies that inspire engagement, influence behavior and differentiate Deloitte.

Serve as a media contact for several of the executives and work in coordination with the external public relations agency.

Work across the businesses, industries, and Deloitte-wide initiatives to source and collaborate on thought leadership opportunities.

Act as an advisor and provide strategic counsel to executives and other leaders. Implement coaching techniques to prepare leaders and subject matter experts for media interviews and speaking engagements. Prepare leaders to represent Deloitte in a positive manner and help manage media communications around sensitive situations.

In collaboration with marketing, develop and implement strategic public relations and earned media plans to support key campaigns to achieve business objectives.

Qualifications Include:

3-5 years years of prior, relevant communications experience required: Knowledge of communications fundamentals with experience leading and managing projects in a global, highly matrixed organization

Undergraduate degree, ideally with a focus in communications, public relations, marketing, journalism, English or a related business field

Excellent communication, collaboration and relationship development skills a priority

Experience in providing guidance and communications counsel to high-level leaders

Strong social media skills and experience as it relates to professional and executive brand building

Proven ability to contribute to communication program execution: Strong project management skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously, consistently delivering high quality results

Superior Microsoft Office skills (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) as well as social media platforms and tools

Agency experience or close collaboration with an agency preferred

Experience in B2B industries

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship now or at any time in the future.
