Description As an intern at WeberShandwick, you will support our Consumer practice across multiple clients andnew business prospects. The intern must have excellent organizational skillsand the ability to adapt to multiple assignments and deadlines in a frequentlychanging environment. The focus of the position is on news monitoring; managingand developing media lists, editorial calendars, coverage reports and briefingmaterials; and general account administration. This is a full-time position and ispaid at $15\/hour.\u00a0 PrimaryResponsibilities:\u00a0 News monitoring: Scan publications to identify client-relevant media coverage, including competitive market and industry information, to compile daily monitoring reports. Media relations: Develop and maintain media lists, continually update and research new media, support with media outreach, and support with media materials development. Client relations: Learn the ins-and-outs of primary clients, understand key client contacts and organizational structure. Account administrative support: Assisting consumer practice team members with non-client specific needs (i.e. New Business research invoice processing, etc.) Time management: Consistently update manager on progress of activities, and balance workload between accounts to ensure that all work is accurate and completed within established deadlines Qualifications Qualifications: Position is open immediately -- must be able to work full-time (40 hours\/week) Education Bachelor\u2019s Degree or equivalent General The successful candidate will possess: An interest in, and enthusiasm for, public relations An interest in, and enthusiasm for, food\/beverage\/CPG industries An understanding of today\u2019s traditional and digital\/social media landscape Prior experience in the public relations field through internships or collegiate programming A desire to work in a dynamic and fast-paced agency environment Strong writing skills Strong attention to detail Excellent time management and organizational skills Ability to work both independently and in a team environment A positive, can-do attitude About Weber Shandwick Weber Shandwick is a leadingglobal communications and engagement firm in 78 cities with a network extendingto 129 cities around the world.
