In a nutshell The Head of Marketing & Communications, N. America is responsible for developing and implementing the N. America marketing strategy to grow the VAA brand, drive NPS, support the JV and achieve online revenue goals of approx. $240m. Leads and integrates a diverse team of specialists with multiple central stakeholders across the business (Marketing, E-Business, Flying Club\/Ancillaries, Sales Planning & Distribution, PR Communications). Supports Commercial Mgr, Caribbean on marketing activity. Works with Delta at a senior level on USA JV strategy across Delta Marketing, B2B & Online Distribution. Day to day The key responsibilities for the role are as follows;Strategy & Leadership: Produce and execute the marketing and online sales strategy for N. America to meet commercial, NPS and Joint Venture (JV) goals. Deliver all key marketing KPIs for N. America region.Manage a high performing, multi-discipline team with multiple central stakeholders across the business (Marketing, E-Business, Flying Club\/Ancillaries, Distribution, PR & Communications). Manage 3 outsourced agencies \u2013 combined contract value approx. $2m.Brand Health: Increase in VAA brand reputation and engagement in order to drive greater premium revenue. Strong levels of media coverage and social media engagement across all N. American gateways.\u00b7Online Revenue: Achieve $100m in direct revenue sites \u2013 direct accountability.Achieve approx $60m in OTA revenue - direct accountability.Work with Delta to achieve approx. $80m in revenuevia - indirect accountabilityRegional NPS\/Customer Service: Grow and enhance our reputation in the US market with our customers and key stakeholders.Ensure a strong and robust Flying Club program in N. America that drives NPS \u2013 measured by acquisition, retention and member engagement.Minimize reputational\/financial risk from DOT breaches and small claimsDrive the JV: Develop and implement the JV marketing strategy to meet KPIs. Ensure VAA brand remains strong and compelling in JV comms across all channels.Deliver a high level of marketing support to the VAA\/Delta sales teams About you The ideal candidate will have a relevant degree plusgraduate qualification in Marketing discipline. Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen.Strong understanding of how to integratemultiple communication channels to build a brand. Proven expertise in some\/allof the following: advertising, CRM, social, PR, content marketing,partnerships, events, B2B marketing, digital.Strong digital skills and understanding of how the channels are evolvingplus track record of agility in adapting to changes in channels andtechnology.High standards of leadership skills and able to representthe business at senior levels.Creative, innovative thinker with a strong aptitude for buildingbrands.Excellent interpersonal anddiplomatic skills. Able to navigate a complex set of relationships and managemultiple stakeholders at once.Highlydata literate \u2013 ability to interpret data and devise insight driven plans.Ability to track future trends.Strongunderstanding of the dynamics of the travel industry is a distinctadvantage.Excellent understanding ofthe US marketplace \u2013 both consumer and B2B.Ability to manage multiple outsourced suppliers \u2013 especiallyagencies.Excellent communication skills\u2013 needs to be credible at senior levels.
