Under the direction of the Radiology Manager, this position is responsible for transporting inpatients and outpatients to and from the Radiology department. The transportation of patients is done via gurneys, wheelchairs or hospital beds. Will assist RN’s in transport of non-stable patients. Assists Radiology personnel in transferring patients onto and off x-ray tables, lends assistance in the file room, distributes radiology reports and performs other duties as directed. May be asked to assist in other areas of the hospital. This position, as deemed necessary by daily departmental operations, takes direction from Radiology Manager, Radiology Coordinator, and/or Radiologic Technologists.
Customer Service experience and experience dealing with the public is required.
High School Diploma or its equivalent required.
Certification in American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers (AHA BLS) within one month of hire required.
Hospital environment experience is preferred.
