PRIMARY FUNCTION
Provide live, error free transmission feeds and related technical support to over four dozen international media outlets during a high profile event.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 
he Media Center provides the press with feeds from open meetings and press conferences through a centralized distribution rack in the Media Center.  The Media Center Support Technician will thoroughly familiarize him/herself with the operation of the distribution rack and be a general technical problem-solver for the visiting international press, assisting them in a courteous and timely manner as needed.
Ability to set up, playback and record from a variety of video and audio sources 
Understand signal flow and be able to provide basic troubleshooting for audiovisual and IT equipment 
Report system anomalies, equipment problems, customer relations issues or any other daily event concerns that arise 
Perform other duties as assigned
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Good knowledge of current AV & VC industry practices, standards and procedures 
General knowledge of audio video patching is essential along with the ability to read and interpret system diagrams and schematics
Thorough understanding of various audio and video connectors to connect to recording devices
Ability to troubleshoot basic IT issues such as network connectivity, computer configuration, and video editing software
An understanding of NTSC and PAL, HD, SD, broadcast and “pro-sumer” cameras and recording devices is required.
Ability to thrive in a multicultural and multilingual environment
Ability to read, speak and effectively communicate in English; Bilingual in other languages a plus
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Audio/Electronic Engineering or related field preferred; or Technical school training with electronics training and related experience
InfoComm CTS certification a plus 
3 years of experience with the setup, operation and troubleshooting of conference rooms, auditoriums, theater, hotels and/or broadcast environment
