The MITG Marketing Communications department is a fast-paced group focused on brand management, integrated marketing communication strategic planning and execution and departmental alignment. We are searching for the ideal candidate to join our team who has a strong background in communications planning and message development ― healthcare experience and/or agency background a plus. S/he will focus on the execution of the marketing strategy ― planning and implementing integrated marketing communications strategies that support growth objectives for our supported businesses. The Principle Marketing Communications Specialist is responsible for ensuring alignment of all the efforts of cross functional teams and agency partners to deliver campaigns that drive awareness and leads, increase customer engagement, understanding and adoption of our services and solutions.
A Day in the Life
Partner with marketing, sales and other stakeholders to plan and implement integrated marketing communications strategies
Develop and adapt themes and message platforms to match target audience needs and information requirements
Define content needs in terms of types (e.g. white paper, podcast, video), target audience (e.g. vertical, subvertical, buyer role, buying cycle stage), products and solutions it supports, and key messages.
Work with key stakeholders to develop overarching thought leadership / awareness campaigns
Assist and lead in the development of competitive response/sales enablement content
Brand management: including support for mergers and acquisitions, brand architecture, name generation
Review and assess creative and verbal content to ensure output is on strategy, of the highest quality, and in line with corporate brand standards
Ensure strategic themes and communications plans are implemented appropriately and in sync with communication/business goals
Manage overall agency relationships including selection process, evaluation process and review (agencies include branding, general ad, media and interactive) as well as day-to-day activities once selected
Support the management of all agency deliverables including creative brief, budget, timeline and creative execution to final product
Acts as liaison for creative/editorial staff, contractor(s), and/or agency in the development, production and execution of marketing communications materials
Oversee the implementation, measurement and optimization of communication plans and tactical deliverables
Work with analytic teams to assess communications ROI and optimize as required
Analyze competitive activities and articulate implications and recommendations for business
Bachelor's Degree Required (Communications or Marketing Preffered)
2 years direct Marketing Communications Management experience
8 years of progressive responsibility in communications or advertising
Ability to manage all phases of advertising, print, audiovisual, interactive, and events program development, production and implementation
Digital marketing experience a must
Customer focus - ability to build strong partnerships both internally and externally
Problem-solver, innovative spirit, decision-maker
Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills
Ability to interpret and analyze marketing plans to develop appropriate communications program strategies and tactics
Knowledge of products, salesforce, and customer needs
Proven ability to manage multiple projects toward timely completion
Adept at managing internal and external relationships through use of interpersonal skills
Nice to Haves
Agency background a plus; knowledge of agency functional areas, including production, media, research and data
Healthcare background strongly preferred (med device, pharma, healthcare agency, hospital)
