Overview The Dir, Marketing will play a leadership role in supporting strategic volume growth and reputation of Hackensack Meridian Health by differentiating an academic medical center, children's hospital and care transformation services in the marketplace. This includes providing leadership and strategic direction for all marketing planning and communications, brand management, marketing analytics & ROI metrics, community engagement and engagement through physician outreach and patient acquisition tactics. Responsibilities Develops marketing plan and ensures acceptable progress is communicated through leadership. Ensures data-driven dashboard is reported. Completes and approves hospital and care transformation services marketing plans and ensures positioning and progress in marketplace is clear. Communicates progress regularly to management forums and achieves annual marketing milestones. Identifies research requirements to support marketing plans to identify market area development opportunities. Writes and participates in content marketing strategy. Aligns with hospital president to provide Network leadership for Care Transformation Services. Works with marketing leadership to drive marketing plan and ensure effective implementation of plan. Ensures hospital programs and employed practices are identified and supported by sustained direct marketing program and physician leaders are engaged in marketing activities. Increase market share to ensure hospital volume targets are met. Designs marketing strategies to support brand positioning; maintains responsibility for consistent execution of brand across all marketing and communication vehicles. Motivates and engages non-marketing team members on protecting and promoting the brand and those of its affiliated physicians. Track and evaluate results of marketing campaigns and how they align with business objectives in partnership with CRM strategist, partners and integrated marketing team. Advises on digital communications strategies consistent with organizational priorities and strategies. Creates plan to promote strategic programs through hospital and Network assets. Creates viral\/guerrilla marketing, email marketing campaigns, and videos. Monitors webmetrics and prepare regular reports. Complete all other assigned duties and projects in a timely fashion. Track, analyze, and report on relevant data and metrics as needed and\/or requested. Develop, recommend and\/or implement actions or process improvements as appropriate. Involved in the development and\/or management of budget for assigned areas. Regularly monitors relevant key financial indicators and performance metrics, modifying business activities where needed in response to changing financial situations. Currently manages team of three and assists in the recruitment, development and supervision of team members. Creates and sustains an environment that fosters team member engagement. Establishes clear objectives tied to department and\/or organizational strategic goals. Coaches, counsels and evaluates performance of direct reports. Works closely with integrated marketing and communications team to leverage all new media and traditional channels to expand geographic and tertiary reach. Demonstrates creativity and operational excellence in leading bold marketing and engagement programs and driving short and long-range marketing strategies and goals, as well as accelerating the development of marketing competencies and programs and direct to physician marketing programs. \u00a0Manage a team of results-oriented staff responsible for specific operational elements of the brand and marketing strategy. \u00a0Prioritize and ensure that all resources, plans and tactics are successfully executed, resulting in the attainment of targeted business results. \u00a0Demonstrate a deep understanding of effective marketing practices and skill in identifying unmet needs, building and implementing focused, integrated marketing & engagement plans to meet those needs. \u00a0Responsible for creating, productizing, and implementing new innovative programs across multiple companies, divisions and departments Qualifications Bachelor\u2019s degree in public relations, journalism, marketing, communications or related field. Minimum 15 years of experience in corporate marketing in a hospital, health system or agency environment. Consumer service marketing and\/or product management experience; experience supporting a services sales team. Thorough knowledge and experience in development of strategic communications, marketing plans, and evaluation techniques. Experience managing professional staff. Excellent oral and written communication skills, including writing and editing for the media and other audiences. Ability to deal well with competing priorities, heavy workloads, a rapidly changing business, and corporate environments. Proven experience in dealing with high-level executives and a demonstrated ability to counsel senior management. Experience with navigating complex multi-disciplinary integrated organizations. Knowledge, Education and Skills Preferred: Master\u2019s degree in a related field. Previous health care industry experience and\/or hospital marketing experience is desirable.
