The Division Director of Marketing and Communications (PSG Lead) reports to the Division AVP of Marketing and Communications and guides and executes all marketing operational efforts for the Division’s employed physician practices. This includes both paid and unpaid marketing activities, including advertising, digital marketing, targeted direct mail, email, collateral, signage, scripting and web.
In partnership with the Division Marketing leadership, PSG Operations Leadership and the Hospital directors, the Director develops an annual Marketing & Communications Plan and budget for our employed physician practices that supports the operational goals of the Physician Services Group. The Director drives timely execution and measures success monthly to enable mid-campaign adjustments as needed The Director of Physician Marketing is responsible for working collaboratively with physicians, facility-based marketing staff, physician relations representatives, physician recruiters and practice managers to plan, organize and direct all marketing activities for employed physician practices and support the onboard marketing for employed physicians. The Director also collaborates closely with the Content and Creative Services team and Hospital directors to ensure timely and effective development of advertising creative and messaging.
Leadership and Collaboration:
Promotes a culture of sharing and collaboration across the Division. Acts as a resource for hospital marketing directors and PSG practice managers across division, sharing best practices between sister facilities.
Provides comprehensive updates of activities executed and value driven for each practice to Division Marketing, Division PSG Operations and local PSG Operations on a monthly basis.
Mentors and develops practice managers on service, experience and brand presence in the practices.
Manages and ensures value from the key external media placement partners, as well as internal vendor relationships with NCCM, CRM, IT&S, Web Services and the Print Management Center.
Engages formally with Physician Services leadership, Division Marketing leadership and Hospital Directors to ensure nimble adjustments are made to the activities based on the needs and shifting dynamics for each PSG practice.
Coordinates tightly with Division Content and Creative lead to ensure timely and effective delivery from that team to support campaign efforts.
Steps into hospital PR & Communications roles during times of staff transition or medical leave to ensure continuity of service for that hospital leadership team.
Executing the Marketing Strategy:
Leverages marketing strategies and resources from across the company to gain efficiency, customizing as needed for each market based on service line focus, clinical strengths, community demographics, media usage, brand and tone.
Evaluates changing demographics and trends in clinic usage, service utilization, community needs, etc., and developing/adjusting strategies to meet the practice’s goals. Utilizes quantitative and qualitative research to guide marketing strategy and execution.
Understands internal and external policies, procedures, and regulations that impact the marketing environment. Ensures adherence of marketing activities and web properties to these policies.
Manages media flow charts and schedules to ensure deadlines are met and cost efficiencies are gained.
Tracks and reports campaign results and budget. Identifies and reports insights on trends, success stories, and barriers to performance. Uses performance data to make adjustments as needed.
Supports marketing activities for on-and off-boarding of new and departing providers. Provides comprehensive plans and reports on execution for all new providers to Division Marketing, Division PSG Operations and Hospital Directors and Leadership team.
New providers are fully on-boarded within 30 days of start.
Departing providers are off-boarded in accordance with requirements for patient notification.

Bachelor’s Degree Required
Other as Noted: Maters Degree Preferred
Healthcare marketing or communications experience preferred.
Effective management and communication skills; both orally and written.
Ability to effectively present information to top management and public groups.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
Requires the ability to travel from one location to another within the Division. May be needed to work early morning, evening and weekend hours. Position includes overnight travel on an as needed basis.
Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to document, develop and communicate necessary information. Requires lifting papers or boxes up to 20 pounds occasionally. Work may be stressful at times.
