We create and foster thoughtful dialogue. : The Senior Account Executive will be responsible for managing tactical programs with an emphasis on writing, project management, data publicity at medical meetings and managing media relations programs on behalf of clients within the health practice. This includes story mining, pitch development, storytelling and active engagement with reporters for both traditional and online media. Additionally, this person provides support to the client lead and may be asked to participate in PR plan development, outreach strategies and integration across multiple account verticals for a diverse group of health clients. Primary Responsibilities include: \u2022 Tactical program management \u2022 Developing program plans \u2022 Developing comprehensive media strategies \u2022 Translating medical research in to news releases or pitches \u2022 Writing news releases and editorial content \u2022 Developing engaging stories on behalf of clients \u2022 Executing social media strategies \u2022 Interacting with clients \u2022 Preparing senior spokespeople with media interview preparation \u2022 Monitoring healthcare trends and reporting to the team \u2022 Tracking coverage and updating master media lists \u2022 Participating in new business and staff development Qualifications Job Qualifications\/Requirements \u2022 BA or BS in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism or related field \u2022 Minimum of 5-6 years of PR experience required; agency experience preferred \u2022 Experience in the medical device or pharmaceutical industries a plus \u2022 Excellent research and writing skills \u2022 Ability to manage multiple projects and tight deadlines \u2022 Applied social media expertise and media outreach skills \u2022 Experience supporting a major health care account with client interactions \u2022 Understanding of HIPPA regarding pitching patient stories \u2022 Ability to contribute to strategic planning and execution of PR programs \u2022 Digital community management for a major client or organization is a plus Weber Shandwick is proud to be an Equal Opportunity employer.
