Summary:

The Communications Intern

will handle multiple responsibilities to support ADG's internal communications ecosystem as well as external messaging and posting to social media channels, portals, and to the ADG website. The Communications Intern

will also support ADG's internal events ecosystem, culture and team-building event communications, award submissions, and overall intra-agency communications as part of the Strategy Team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Support ADG Creative's social media and public relations initiatives

Help drive ADG content development support, both planning, writing, and promoting

Support the Strategy team in promoting our content marketing service offering

Source and aggregate relevant articles for promoting ADG's offerings

Collect research for content strategies and articles

Proofreading and editing tasks for blogs, infographics, scripts, or web copy

Email newsletter content drafting and newsletter program set up/scheduling

Social media strategy development and execution

Account management and organizational tasks

Work with ADG's commercial strategy, design, or video teams as needed

Other content research and tasks as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

o perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily

High School diploma/GED required.

Enrollment in, or graduation from, a Bachelor's Degree program in communications, marketing, Public Relations, or equivalent degree.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge of social media channels, tools, and strategy a must

Knowledge of MailChimp, Constant Contact or other email tools preferred

Must have excellent command of English language

Must be able to write for a variety of commercial applications

Must be deadline-driven, organized, and able to handle a multitude of details

Must have strong writing skills and deadline-sensitive communications in the forms of email, social media, and website content.

Physical Demands:

Must have ability to perform essential functions, must have the ability to sit for extended periods of hours and can manage to focus for several hours.

Must be physically healthy to attend entering data into the computer terminal, read on computer screens and printed materials without the use of vision aids.

Hear and understand speech at a normal level and on the phone. Have the clear ability to understand and follow oral instructions.

Work Environment :

The employee will normally work in a temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment.
