We are seeking an experienced, creative marketing program manager to join our team of innovative game-changers.
What You’ll Do
You'll be responsible for contributing to and executing on a best-in-class communications strategy and supporting programs and platforms for the Chief Strategy Officer and GM, Applications. You will develop a plan outlining your key programs and activities that align to the executive’s objectives, with demonstrable actions, KPIs, and a clearly defined roadmap for rollout. Responsibilities include:
Create and own profile-building programs focused on technology and leadership priority areas across internal blogs, external bylines, contributed content and commentary, social media profiles, Cisco internal and employee engagement platforms, and external industry-relevant speaker opportunities.
Content creation, collaboration and overall production coordination for executive’s participation in external events/keynotes/presentations, working closely with wider Global Communications team and other stakeholders as appropriate.
Partner with Global Communications to create and drive opportunities aligned with the executive’s core objectives and areas of focus including media interviews and analyst briefings
Create strategic, programmatic social media content, recommendations and engagement opportunities that build the executive’s profile aligned to priority technology and leadership areas.
Who You'll Work With
Reporting to the Executive Communications Manager (and eventually, our new Head of Marketing and Communications for Strategy, Incubation & Applications), you will join a team of high-performing and passionate communications professionals and work closely with the senior executives, engineering, PR, analyst relations, employee experience, global events, sales, customer account management and other key teams from across the organization.
Who You Are
You display a genuine passion for and a proven track record in storytelling and communications for B2B enterprise technology and brands. You have meticulous attention to detail, exceptional writing and editing skills, a passion for organization and operational programming, experience supporting executive spokespeople and enjoy a fast-paced environment.
• You will play a key role in the success of team by being an active, collaborative and driven team member.
• You can successfully work across a highly matrixed organization and effectively manage timelines and deliverables to meet deadlines.
• You bring extensive experience and expertise to the team, sharing your learnings with the organization to help drive us to new levels of excellence.
• Minimum qualifications include:
• BA/BS degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or similar field, or equivalent experience
• 6 years of experience in communications in the enterprise technology sector, with at least 1-2 years supporting executives
• Strong writing and editing skills and attention to detail
