Instructional Systems Designer
The Associate eLearning Specialists role is to design and develop on-line training courses, webinars, videos, and presentations to effectively educate internal sales personnel/channel partners on office systems and software. This individual will author training materials for all products and solutions, sales skills training, and other projects to support corporate objectives. The Associate eLearning Specialist is responsible for creating and maintaining content for the company?s Intranet and Learning Management System by regularly posting and updating course materials and classes. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: -Collaborate closely with Product Marketing to fully understand the full line of products and business applications. -Write and design on-line courseware, interactive training exercises, certification exams, webinar presentations, and instructional videos in support of marketing and sales initiatives. -Proactively identify training topics and programs that will effectively support MFP/Printer, Business Application, and Managed Document Services sales across all channels. -Communicate and work in partnership with internal subject matter experts to ensure training material accuracy and improvement. -Routinely update the Learning Center website by posting and maintaining current course materials. -Assist in instructor-led training sessions, webinar facilitation, and video production for new product/solution launches. -Support field trainers (Solution Sales Instructors) with follow ups and course content refreshes. QUALIFICATIONS: Required: -Bachelor?s Degree. -Minimum 1year (maximum 8 yrs) of demonstrated experience in a Communications, Marketing, Sales, or Sales Support position. -Minimum 1-year (maximum 8 yrs) experience writing for Communications, Marketing, or Public Relations. -Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel). -Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. -Excellent analytic/critical thinking skills. -Ability to travel approximately 10%, overnight required. -Physical Requirements: standing, sitting and working with computer, bending, and light lifting. Preferred: -Bachelor?s Degree in communications, Public Relations, or Marketing. -Experience in the Office Technology industry. -Experience presenting and conducting webinars. -Familiarity with internet-based training and Learning Management Systems. -Bilingual (English and Spanish or Portuguese). CONTACTS: -Reports to the Associate Director of Education Services. -Coordinate with Product Marketing Managers to ensure accuracy of training content and consistent messaging. -Collaborate with Marketing Communications, Software Solutions, Internal Sales, and Technical groups, as well as outside agencies, to support training projects. AUTHORITY: -To take any reasonable action necessary to carry out the assigned responsibilities provided that such action is consistent with sound management principles and cost-effective practices consistent with position guidelines. MISCELLANEOUS: -May be required to participate in special projects as directed by the Sr. Director, Corporate Marketing and the Vice President, Corporate Marketing and Business Services or other senior executives.
