NRT LLC, the nation’s largest residential real estate brokerage, is searching for an Event Specialist to join our team of professionals. As an Event Specialist, you will be responsible for the execution and coordination of various local, regional and national events ranging from small 10- person luncheons to a multi-day conference with an attendee size of 5,000 or more. This position provides support in the areas of marketing, retention and recruitment by maintaining NRT’s brand and culture through the live experience of events and delivering superior service to the company’s key stakeholders. This position will be based in Irvine, CA but must have the ability to travel nationwide as needed with potential for overnight trips.
Key job responsibilities include:
Plans, coordinates, implements, and is responsible for all aspects of events. This includes, but is not limited to:
F&B negotiations and selection
A/V assessment and negotiation
Facilitation of airport transfers and event transportation
Collection and management of attendee list and responses
Coordination of event related collateral (name badges, invitations, website, programs, menus, etc)
Event debrief sessions including detailed financial recap and follow up strategies
Event onsite support
Other duties as needed
In addition, the position will offer event support to the company’s charitable arm, Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Cares.
Works closely with finance to manage the Foundation budgetary process. Handles administrative duties associated with donations. Ensures that donations are in-line with the Foundations’ mission statement. Serves as a liaison between charitable organizations and Foundation members
Communicates and supports program mission. Serves as project manager for volunteer events
Coordinates daily operations of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Cares, with decision making latitude for project approvals.
May play an active role on foundation board of directors
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or Event Planning, or related field; specific event planning certifications may be considered in lieu of BA
Minimum of 4 years of corporate event project management experience
Experience in residential or commercial real estate related marketing event and/or project management experience preferred
Certified Meeting Planner designation is a plus
Ability to effectively present information to internal and external audiences
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Uses sound logical judgment to choose an appropriate course of action
Takes decisive action and seeks assistance of manager in decision-making, as appropriate
Highly organized to work as individual contributor and part of team
Ability to lift packages at events
