Ingersoll Rand CorporateCommunications has an opportunity for a Communications Generalist who supportsvarious internal and external projects across several global business units.Your work in this role is key to help build and protect the companyâ€™sreputation through communications programs such as executive visibility andspeaking engagements; employee communications; thought leadership; mediarelations; recognition through awards and ranking opportunities; social media;issues management; and event management.
Generalists works closely with globalcommunications team members, internal strategic business unit clients,marketing, IT, HR, product management, legal, finance and external agencypartners.
How youâ€™ll contribute:
Actively contribute toeditorial planning and work on an entire lifecycle of an assignment.
Write, edit and managereview process for internal and PR communications. Ability to partner withexternal communications agencies, and create/publish intranet content to engageemployees across multiple platforms.
Use innovative mediaformats (videos, podcasts, social media) to increase earned media presence andparticipation/usage of internal social networks (i.e., Yammer, portal).
Oversee contentcompilation of internal communications vehicles, including intranet,announcements, newsletters, webcasts/podcasts, internal social media, townhalls, meetings and presentations.
Measurement of basicanalytics for internal and external communications.
Media Relations Strategy Creation andImplementation
Help develop and executea strategy for the businessâ€™ media relations efforts.
Contribute torelationships with key media channels to increase positive media coverage.
Assist in securingfeatures, stories and appearances in target media outlets, and prepspokespeople for media interactions.
Keep up-to-date withemerging media trends.
Collaborate with productlaunch teams on launch PR.
Coordinate CorporateSocial Responsibility (CSR) Programs
Design, develop and leadsite-specific events to support enterprise programs recognizing industry andglobal events, such as Manufacturing Day, Discover Engineering and Earth Day.
Incorporate CSR programsinto reputation campaigns.
Continuous Education andProfessional Development
Share ideas and gain agreater understanding of overall communications strategy.
Build relationships withbusiness partners to learn business goals and priorities through site visitsand stakeholder/customer events.
Participate in externallearning opportunities to remain groundbreaking in the communicationsprofession.
3-5 years of related experience.
Minimum of Bachelorâ€™s Degree required.
Ability to establish content and publish tomultiple platforms to include social media, intranet, e-newsletters, etc.
Writing and Digital Content Capability
Basic data analytics
Manage large and small projects in a fast pacedenvironment, while working across multiple businesses, geographies andcultures.
Ability to build relationships with all levelswithin the organization.
Critical thinking skills and creativity
Comfortable enabling change and transformation.
Spanish or Portuguese language helpful, but notrequired.
