Description The Marketing Content Editor will lead the content strategy for our growth markets region (Latin America, Middle East, and Asia) in support of our business goals. The editor will collaborate with Global Business Solutions Team and Marketing Leaders in each market on narrative development for priority buying audiences and offerings. The Editor will also partner with the Demand Generation Center and Data & Analytics Teams to gather audience, competitive, and best practice information to inform the content strategy. The Editor will spearhead the ongoing development of the Voice on Growth Economies publication, digital and APP content to help bring the perspectives of consultants and clients across our 21 countries world-wide. The editor will act as a proxy for the reader and ensure our content offers the reader real value in return for their time. The Editor also has the ability to recognize the difference between an idea that\u2019s worth a 140-character tweet, and one that can be developed into a blog post or report\u2014or, for that matter, a three-minute video. They have the ability to work with an author whose ideas may be terrific but who may not be a strong communicator, and develop that author\u2019s ideas into a compelling and engaging piece of content. The right candidate will consistently bring fresh, new on-brand ideas to the Mercer marketing team on how copy can help define the brand perception and affinity of Mercer. Also, the successful candidate must be enthusiastic, collaborative, and able to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment. They must execute effectively against multiple projects and deadlines and demonstrate an ability to take initiative, anticipate needs and exercise independent and sound judgment. Responsibilities of this role include (and are not limited to): Lead the development of original, engaging content for clients and prospects for use in marketing campaigns across the region. Partner with Mercer consultants and subject matter experts to develop new articles for the Voice on Growth Economies publication. Leverage Mercer research and intellectual property to create new dynamic content for distribution across owned, paid and social media. Manage small team of freelance and in-house writers Qualifications BA\/BS degree in Marketing, Public, Relations, or Communications 10-15 years of digital, advertising and offline copywriting experience preferred Experience working in an international environment producing content for audience across several geographies Proven experience developing compelling content assets that engage audiences in new and different ways to drive the business forward Experience managing freelance and in-house editorial teams Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail Excellent interpersonal skills, high energy and, strong interest in working within a fast-paced environment Proven track record of success producing engaging and innovative digital content Familiarity with a variety of online marketing concepts, best practices and procedures Interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work with staff at all levels Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment that requires quick adjustments and re-calibration of priorities when business needs change Experience working on international projects partnering with teams in other countries a must.
