The environment of the Parent & Family Services office is diverse, energetic, collaborative, communicable, and exciting; most of the time. At times it will be intense, laborious, and tiresome. Applicants should be flexible and prepared to present excellent interpersonal skills daily.

Coordinate all Parent & Family Services events including Parent and Family Weekend, Parent & Family Spring Day, finals care packages and other fundraisers, Send-off events, and events in the community.

Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing and communications plan to connect parents to the lives of their students and build affinity toward UofM, including but not limited to developing materials to promote active parent engagement, supporting the Senior Coordinator’s efforts to help build parent and family affinity, enhance outreach and stewardship of donors, and manage the Parent Association; Managing social media and engaging parents and families in these media; Creating newsletters; Managing the Parent and Family website; Developing Informational videos/podcasts for parental education.

Coordinate divisional participation in institutional efforts to recruit, retain, and graduate students and represent Parent and Family Services at these events.
