Public Relations Manager
Nest is seeking an experienced public relations professional to help build the profile of Nest’s award winning products. This is a great opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment on products that can make a positive difference in people’s lives. Experience in the technology industry, and a passion for great products is a must.
Play a major role in the research, planning and development of comprehensive public relations programs
Build and maintain strong relationships with members of the press, influencers, and key partners
Generate media outreach strategies, and execute plans thoughtfully and effectively
Create content for the Nest blog, write press releases, media pitches, and other types of content
Work cross-functionally with members of Nest’s product and engineering teams to create effective messaging to support new products and services
5 years of experience managing successful public relations programs
BA or BS degree
Existing relationships with key members of the press
Ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written and verbal format
Adept at building and maintaining relationships
Team player, with the confidence to take the lead and execute with minimal guidance
Ability to partner with stakeholders in other departments
Strong project management and organizational skills
Experience working both in-house and at an agency a plus
Social media experience a plus
