(overview of job): This individual is a highly visible, key member of the St. Peter’s Health Public Relations & Marketing team. Directly responsible for a wide range of internal and external communications to engage the organization’s key stakeholder groups and manage organization brand reputation. Specifically, this individual will be responsible for managing the organization’s newsletter and intranet, organizing events, developing media communications, desktop publishing, and coordinating the organization’s community relations efforts. Works closely with other department staff and leadership to develop communication strategies and support public relations and marketing campaigns. Directly accountable to the Public Relations Specialist.
: Minimum of two years of experience in a public relations, marketing and communications role. Demonstrated involvement in community activities and community relations strongly preferred. Health care experience a plus, but not required. Must demonstrate strong writing skills and experience with media relations. Basic desktop publishing experience is required. Proficient working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and other digital communication platforms. General understanding of interpreting brand guidelines and logo use. Demonstrated organizational and critical problem solving skills, superior customer service skills, and ability to work with minimal supervision. Projects confidence and professionalism in all communications. Experience working on a wide variety of tasks simultaneously in a busy office with high public and professional contact.
: Bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications, or journalism required, or equivalent experience and knowledge.
: Current Montana State Driver’s License.
: *Interpersonal and communication skills necessary to communicate positively in person, on the telephone, and over e-mail. *Public speaking skills. * Ability to design and implement outreach initiatives. *Writing skills for publications, storytelling and public relations. *Follow verbal and written instructions for complex planning and coordination functions. *Attention to detail and accuracy. *Ability to complete reports and prepare statistical information. * Demonstrated knowledge of visual communication. *Demonstrated ability to be flexible as the work load demands.
Weekend and/or Holiday Rotation may be required.
