We are looking for a Director of Corporate Communications for a six-month assignment, starting in September, reporting to the Senior Vice President of Global Communications. In this role we will look for you to manage proactive and reactive corporate reputation efforts.
A day in the Life of the Director, Corporate Communications:
We will expect you to lead the company’s strategic communications efforts across internal and external audiences, including:
*Manage proactive and reactive external communications, working closely with cross-enterprise partners on strategy and program execution, including Investor Relations, Corporate Social Responsibility, Human Resources, Employee Engagement, Global Consumer Insights and Global Philanthropy. *Support senior leadership with issues and crisis communications and preparedness and provide advice and counsel regarding issues of corporate reputation, brand protection, financial communication and executive communications. *Lead the Internal Communications strategy and team, supporting the needs of the global organization. *Work directly with reporters, conference organizers and other third parties on opportunities to enhance Hasbro’s corporate reputation. *Develop social media strategy and content for Hasbro channels, in support of overall communications objectives. *Partner with Global Communications counterparts in other regions on corporate storytelling. *Lead a cross-functional corporate communications team, including internal and external communicators, as well as the Hasbro Design Studio.
What You’ll Bring:
Education and Experience Requirements
*Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Public Relations or related field required. *Minimum of 10 years of communications experience, preferably in a public relations agency or in-house corporate communications department.
*You have direct experience using corporate communications, media relations, public relations, digital communications and social media to build and support a global consumer brand. *You bring extensive hands-on experience in crisis management, financial communications, and proactive brand building. *You are known for your ability to build collaborative relationships with key internal partners as well as external influencers, business partners, and thought leaders. *Experience in building tools for and maintaining good relationships with social media channels *You are confident working directly with a high-performing senior corporate leadership team, providing support, advice and counsel. *Strong writing abilities with an emphasis on corporate messaging and storytelling. *You are a self-starter who works well independently and in a group setting. *You bring proven business insight and understanding of expectations of a publicly-traded company. *Your creative mind has earned you a track record of suggesting and implementing new ideas. *You're an experienced a team leader and people manager with a passion for developing talent. *A positive attitude and are flexible to adapt as programs or priorities evolve. *You have a critical eye for detail and the ability to provide clear and concise direction/feedback to external and internal partners. *Passion for Hasbro brands and products a plus.
