SUMMARY The Marketing Communication Manager role is instrumental in the design, delivery, management and evaluation of integrated marketing campaigns, events and programs using both online and offline platforms to achieve business objectives. The ideal candidate will have strong integrated marketing communications experience with a successful track record of planning, delivering and monitoring projects simultaneously. They will be a self-starter and someone who is keen to join an entrepreneurial environment, where innovation plays a pivotal role in business development. He/she will be highly organized with exceptional attention to detail, the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively. First-rate writing and creative design skills are essential together with the ability to work cross-functionally, liaising with various stakeholders at all levels. A sincere interest in the healthcare and travel security sector is desirable but not essential. The Marketing Communications Manager performs market research and develops marketing and brand awareness plans for specific products, services or business lines. The role creates, implements, and monitors the Company’s regional internal and external communications through various mediums including speaking engagements, industry events, web marketing and advertising. This role requires a strategic thinker, global mindset and a “hands-on” can-do attitude with a bias for generating lead generation results. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES Develops, implements, and monitors marketing and communication strategies, programs, and materials which support sales and business development efforts in all target market segments. Drives regional brand awareness across distribution channels, associations, events, seminars and speaking engagements Works cross-functionally with senior management to create internal and external messages and value propositions. Supports the company’s international marketing efforts to retain existing clients and grow revenue by producing sales and lead generation tools such as presentations, brochures, proposals, videos and client events. Serves as company’s media representative, working directly with media and company spokespeople to achieve positive mention in trade and consumer press; uses media to proactively promote new products, appointments and company news. Drives the regional thought leadership agenda by identifying brand-building opportunities leveraging the region’s medical and travel security risk management expertise Helps International SOS demonstrate its medical, security and travel risk management thought leadership in the Corporate, Energy / Mining / Infrastructure, Scholastic and other market segments through international speaking events, industry associations and tradeshows. Participates and supports client advisory boards and other focus groups to conduct market research in specific markets, products, messaging and client positioning as needed. Coordinate communication amongst Marketing team members, including regional marketing associates and product marketing. Performs competitive intelligence and sharing of intelligence to appropriate team members. Develops and supports regional website & microsite content and strategy. Produces internal communications to ensure employees are well-informed via monthly newsletters, weekly intranet updates and company meetings. Facilitates internal communications to ensure consistency and timeliness of message. Identifies, negotiates with, and monitors third party providers. Maintain all client information which may be encountered either directly or indirectly while in the performance of the job in strict confidence in accordance with HIPAA and/or any other pertinent confidentiality regulations. Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Marketing, Business, Liberal Arts or Communications field Minimum five years, preferably seven years, progressively responsible experience in development and implementation of marketing and communication programs. Demonstrated impeccable oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated effective experience in the negotiation process and management of third party vendors. Demonstrated effective project management skills including but not limited to: project definition, specification development, timeline management, and delivery. Proven ability to develop and manage budgets. Must be able to travel by air. Must possess or be able to obtain a valid passport. Required Skills and Knowledge (Brief description of technical knowledge or skills needed to perform the job) A “do-er” that is both a strategic thinker and also gets things done by rolling up their sleeves Direct experience in developing and executing direct client communication activities including digital campaigns, promotions, seminars, community events, conferences and training events. Graphic design and production fundamentals including proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) Marketing automation experience (Eloqua strongly preferred) including the creation of email campaigns, landing pages and lead fulfillment Knowledge of media relations: writing and distributing press releases, communicating with media Customer Relationship Management (Salesforce) fundamentals Advanced knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and other office programs used in the creation and distribution of marketing pieces and communications Understanding of social media opportunities and analysis of appropriate communication channels Ability to create and communicate processes to drive efficiencies and meet business objectives Cultural sensitivity and awareness. Ability to work in multi-lingual, multi-cultural environment Adaptable, agile-minded - ability to quickly shift priorities as needed Experience in working with and influencing a team of multicultural marketing and/or communications professionals Must have international experience or exposure and able to work with professionals, regional and global team. Strong influencing skills (impact and influence) at all levels and networking ability and confidence with senior decision makers. Excellent time management skills with the ability to successfully manage numerous projects simultaneously and drive change. Strong planning and organization skills with the experience to develop communication deliverables by adopting a consultative approach with the content expert.
