Position Title: Manager of Communications and Public Relations
Note: This position will work out of the Pasadena Office
Manages the successful implementation of the organization's communications and PR plans, with internal and external strategies to support the organization's business priorities and brand promise. This position has accountability for managing corporate communications, internal communications, issues management, media relations, social media, public affairs, and public relations within its respective service area..
Motivating and challenging communications and public relations teams to constantly achieve superior results in collaboration with others.
Managing annual communications strategies and plans within defined budgets for multi-channel implementations for internal and external stakeholders.
Provides accurate, timely communications and PR content for dissemenation.
Evaluating effectiveness of current communications and public relations initiatives and designing strategies that increase visibility with target markets to advance our business objectives and brand promise.
Responds to internal and external customer needs in a manner that consistently adds value.
Understanding of the value of accurately analyzing the current environment and ability to synthesize ideas and information required for process improvement into a manageable form.
Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics and ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.
Knowledge of and ability to utilize the means, tools, techniques and media to communicate information about the organization internally and externally.
Knowledge of organizational practices and considerations for communicating in the public arena, from the community to global public relations (PR); the ability to communicate to various forms of media outlets effectively and establish favorable public relations.
Education and Experience:
Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of experience in communications and two (2) years of experience leading, developing and delivering communications programs.
Education: Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and/or additional job related experience in lieu of the degree.
