Description Would you like to influence management's ability to bring innovative solutions to Child Welfare Services? As the Cost Allocation and Grants Manager with Children's Administration (CA) you can do that by managing and maximizing the federal resources available. You'll be responsible for managing selected areas of the federal Social Security Act under which the department claims federal reimbursement dollars. Funding helps to ensure services for affected children and families in Washington State. Primary federal funding sources are, Title IV-E, Title IV-B, Title XIX, and SSBG. You'll have lead responsibility for Title IV-B, and SSBG. Some of what you'll do\u00a0 Review federal regulations to ensure compliance with any changes to federal funding Analyze and adjust\u00a0expenditures to ensure compliance with the federal grants requirements and the spending plan Manage and maintain portions of the automated cost allocation plan Prepare and complete federal reports within the established timeframes Provide guidance and consultation to budget and program staff Work closely with management to identify procedural changes needed to access additional federal dollars and to protect existing federal funds for services to children and families Come join \u00a0Children's Administration (CA)\u00a0to better serve at-risk children and families. What we're looking for\u00a0 Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field or equivalent year for year experience Strong working knowledge of federal and state regulations, grants management, and accounting principles and practices Present financial information in a clear, understandable manner to diverse audiences in written and verbal forms Ability to compile, evaluate, and organize data into reports and recommendations Ability to be dependable, reliable, and committed to following through on tasks Attention to detail, ability to do in-depth data mining, methodical approach to work while also seeking to understand the big picture Creativity, enjoy coming up with new ideas and ways of doing things Effectively manage multiple priorities and complex projects in a fast-paced environment and still meet deadlines Questions?
