Partners with local market leadership and corporate marketing to develop and build campaigns to build awareness, preference and loyalty among its target audiences. In this role, the Director will be responsible for building and maintaining a positive public image for the company, and for supporting the needs of public facing bank employees.PRIMARY & ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Develops and implements annual public relations and marketing plan for individual markets that are an extension of and supports national initiatives that support corporate objectives and maximize profit and growth.2. Develops and executes market-wide promotions and sales-driving programs3. Develops and recommends proactive strategies that differentiate the bank within its markets.4. Identify and execute opportunities to promote the bank, its employees and banking services to the community and to targeted segments.5. Builds strong relationships with all branch offices and assures awareness of all promotional activities and maximize impact of programs. 6. Partners with Bank Leadership to establish a corporate giving strategy and assures that the bank is well-represented at community functions, especially those for which the bank is a sponsor or has taken a leadership position.  Recruits and coordinates bank personnel to staff booths or be in attendance in other situations when the bank requires representation.7. Works with new and existing vendors and customers to develop mutually rewarding joint promotions to increase visibility of the bank and increase sales of products and services.8. Maintains a continual awareness of activities, promotions, outreach efforts and products and services offered by local competitors.  Maintain file of competitor intelligence, including financial condition.9. Plans or coordinates all bank events that touch customers, the community and other businesses.10. Prepares and monitors the annual marketing budget for the bank, inclusive of the Heartland Marketing spend by area/product.11. Provides sales support to market facing personnel. Attend weekly sales meetings to understand needs and provide marketing recommendations to achieve business objectives.12. Serves on the bank’s leadership team.13. Serves on the Corporate Marketing Council.REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:1. 4-year college degree, with a degree in a business related field, public relations, or marketing preferred.2. 5-7 years’ experience in public relations, fundraising, marketing or sales positions (experience within the financial services industry preferred).3. Extensive experience in utilizing digital channels in marketing and public relations.4. Analytical skills to utilize survey and advertising data to make strategic decisions.5. Ability to gain familiarity with the bank’s market areas, knowledge of cultural, civic and economic development initiatives, as well as personal acquaintances with business and community leaders.6. Ability to develop creative ideas to promote the bank within the community.7. Ability to make large group presentations.8. Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.Scheduled Weekly Hours:40Time Type:Full time**MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. offers you friendly, exceptional service and great banking products.
