The Society for Neuroscience (SfN) is searching for a
Digital Communications Manager who will be responsible for the developing and implementing strategic aligned communication plans that will communicate with members in the field via digital communication channels.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Leads, coordinates and develops social media strategy and email communication.
Ensures email is reviewed and scheduled consistently and that communications are formatted according to best practices to promote readership and engagement.
Monitor and provide analytics to partners on the effectiveness of email and social media campaigns in order to advise strategies.
Posts content to and makes updates on SfN.org in collaboration with partners.
Coordinates with marketing and other partners to execute established communication priorities related specifically to social media and email to display breadth of society's activities in support of SfN's priorities.
Examines web, social media, and email analytics to implement messaging tactics for engagement, education, and audience growth.
Ensures social media channels are leveraged strategically and consistently formatted linked with other relevant content where appropriate.
Manages analysis and consistent improvement of social media channel use and content effectiveness at delivering key information and priorities, facilitating community and enhancing participation and growth and engagement in each channel in alignment with organizational priorities.
Supervises one staff member, with a focus on coaching and performance management.
Delegates effectively, communicates expectations clearly, and provides professional development opportunities.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Communications or other relevant fields.
A minimum of 3-5 years of related professional experience required.
A minimum of 1-2 years of supervisory or team lead experience required.
Proven successful track-record in managing online communications and publications.
Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, content management systems (Sitecore preferred), Hubspot, social media platforms, and messaging principles.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Understanding of website, social media, and email outreach.
Experience implementing cross-channel marketing and communications
Ability to multitask and set priorities in a flexible manner.
Internal public relations experience.
Interpersonal and teamwork skills to seek input across the organization, working across departments.
Experience in website content oversight/management.
Exceptional time and project management skills.
Familiarity with associations a plus.
Strong organizational and editing skills with high attention to detail.
