New York Life\u2019s Corporate Communications department is seeking a\u00a0 Communications Business Partner \u00a0to serve our technology, finance, and risk management functions. In this role, you will create and execute strategic internal communications plans that will drive employee engagement and achievement of business goals. The ideal candidate for this role is client-oriented and strategically-minded with strong interpersonal and writing skills. As a Communications Business Partner, you will: Consider the functions you serve as a client. With that mindset, build employee communications strategies that help the functions achieve short- and long-term goals and promote a shared responsibility for progress among employees. Provide counsel on communication best practices, including how to galvanize employees to champion new initiatives, adopt new processes, work differently, or adjust to change. Build trust with key client stakeholders and provide guidance on messaging, speaking\/presentation, and leadership presence. Collaborate across the New York Life enterprise, building relationships with partners in External Communications, Human Resources, Marketing, and Branding, among others, to make insightful recommendations to your clients and execute your strategic plan effectively. Create strategies that use a wide-range of vehicles for communication, including web, social media, print, events, meetings, and video. Work collaboratively with Corporate Communications colleagues, sharing insights and tactics, learning from others, and coordinating efforts across the company\u2019s multiple business areas. Ensure consistency of messaging across the functions you serve and throughout the corporate enterprise, adhering to brand guidelines and the corporate style. Measure the success of your strategies, delivering insights to your clients and to Corporate Communications on what constitutes effective internal communications. Execute with excellence, creating thoughtful project plans and delivering work on time and on budget. Required qualifications Undergraduate degree in related field 7 years\u00a0of communications experience (employee communications, external\/public relations, or marketing communications) Internal\/employee communications experience a plus Excellent writing and editing skills Strong project management skills Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, meet tight deadlines, and work under pressure Demonstrated experience leveraging email, print, web\/intranet, and social media to support strategic employee communications Organizational and business savvy, with the ability to interact with and influence all levels of employees across an organization Collaborative team player with successful experience leading cross-functional projects
