DescriptionKIRO TV, the Cox-owned leading media company in Seattle, WA seeks a motivated, energetic, results driven Digital Account Executive .\u00a0 Reporting to the Digital Sales Manager, the Digital Account Executive is responsible for generating, acquiring and maintaining digital revenue and exceeding predetermined sales goals.\u00a0 Candidates must have sales experience in the digital space and be able to step in and drive digital revenue.\u00a0 Initially, this position will be almost exclusively focused on the generation of new sales.\u00a0 The candidate must be able to demonstrate a strong understanding and history of new business development; lead generation and pipeline management.\u00a0\u00a0 This individual will work with the Digital Sales Manager to establish plans and strategies to achieve very reasonable and attainable revenue objectives.\u00a0 Compensation accelerators kick in once revenue targets have been attained which provide very attractive earnings opportunities for money motivated and performance-driven individuals.\u00a0 You will be primarily focused on sales, conducting customer needs analyses and presenting client facing solutions. The Digital Account Executive must understand all CMG Local Solutions digital product offerings and how to leverage them to meet clients\u2019 and prospects\u2019 strategic objectives. Digital assets include KIRO TV\u2019s Apps and Cox Media Group\u2019s websites, apps, livestreams, podcasts and third party products and platforms inclusive of display advertising, streaming media, and native advertising.\u00a0 The Digital Marketing Consultant will leverage owned and operated digital assets as well as 3rd party ad products including but not limited to audience extension, SEM, SEO and social media.\u00a0 You will find, service and secure mutually beneficial relationships with numerous local businesses, agencies or individuals that have a desire to reach their target audience through various digital advertising channels and services.\u00a0 The Digital Account Executive will collaborate with the Digital Sales Specialists and Digital Campaign Managers to fulfill, maintain and renew their clients\u2019 digital campaigns.\u00a0 The Digital Account Executive must be results driven, money motivated, analytical, organized, solution minded, consultative, customer centric and like working in a team environment.RESPONSIBILITIES
Execute a business plan and sales strategy, established with the Digital Sales Manager, that ensures attainment of digital revenue goals
Spend at least 90% of time prospecting leads or presenting to clients to build your digital book of business
Consult local and regional businesses to understand their needs and aspirations so that tailored solutions can be designed, implemented and executed
Perform customer needs analyses (CNA) in the field to uncover clients\u2019 goals and strategic objectives and serve as a digital product expert to be a resource to your digital clients
From CNA create custom strategies and tactics to achieve clients\u2019 goals and format into custom client facing proposals including but not limited to:
SEM: Perform keyword research and create reach and CPC estimates
SEO: Perform SEO analysis and recommendations in coordination with elements and structure of websites and webpages
Targeting/Retargeting: Perform reach estimates for display and pre-roll
Work in partnership with content managers to identify ad supported content opportunities on webpages and social assets
Recommend appropriate use of products against customers\u2019 needs, budgets and competitors' offerings to fulfill client needs or compliment SEM, Display, Social and/or other media campaigns
Products include but not limited to Display, Streaming, Audience Extension, SEM, SEO, Native advertising and Social Media
Understand and communicate the \u201cconsumer path to purchase\u201d theory and how specific digital products relate
Recommend specific digital services to support the different areas in the \u201csales funnel\u201d
Provide consultation to advertisers on social media best practices and participate in social media engagement
Present proposals to clients
Ensure digital campaigns launch and run successfully
Work with Digital Campaign Managers to process digital orders, check inventory and launch digital campaigns successfully\u00a0
Ensure digital orders are processed correctly to align with our billing, finance and fulfillment procedures
Communicate specific product specifications and processes to clients to ensure quality and timely execution of purchased products
In partnership with new or existing resources, develop and manage the process of digital sales fulfillment and campaign delivery in conjunction with colleagues across the CMG digital organization
On-going consultation with sold clients regarding the performance of their purchased campaigns with a goal of retaining and growing you\u2019re their relationship with CMG
Maintain contact with advertisers to ensure high levels of client satisfaction
Work with clients, campaigns managers and ad trafficking to deliver a superior return on investment for our customers\u2019 advertising
Once campaigns are underway, work with clients, CMG Central Ad ops, CMG Ad Studio and CMG SEM/SEO team to interpret results and optimize campaigns against key performance indicators
Set up research studies for clients including view through studies
Work with clients\u2019 Google Analytics to help analyze the effectiveness of their campaigns
Focus on retention and upsells by attending client calls at the end of the campaigns and throughout campaigns, to present custom performance reports, metrics and research that effectively analyze how the customers\u2019 goals are being met or exceeded
Trouble shoot invoicing/reconciliation with 3rd Party reporting and Co-op
Provide feedback to the internal Digital Agency regarding opportunities to improve the overall product offerings and general positioning of the company\u2019s product suite
Demonstrate ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees
Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes
Proven track record of sales success in digital media sales
Bachelor\u2019s degree (B.A) from four-year college or university in digital marketing, digital advertising and/or digital sales; and 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Advanced digital industry knowledge about digital products and the digital media landscape; including display advertising, streaming, native advertising, social media, SEM, SEO and audience extension products
Advanced digital industry knowledge about best practices, website analytics, including the ability to compile usage reports and interpret results.\u00a0 IAB Certified a plus
Proficient in Google Analytics
Must be highly proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong problem solving skills including identifying campaign pitfalls and providing custom solutions
Analytical in nature with a firm grasp of numbers and attention to detail
Strong time management and organization skills
Ability to work independently with little supervision
Can easily identify priority items and complete in a fast-paced deadline driven environment
Must possess positive customer service attitude with both internal and external contacts; flexible, patient, courteous, professional and problem solver
Some travel necessary
